As you can see, we have made some changes here at Electoral Projection! One of our commenters suggested the other day that it might be more accurate in capturing recent trends if we based the projection on a shorter time frame than a 50-Day Average of Polls, especially once the Fall Campaign begins. As I thought about it, I decided it would be interesting to see the difference between a 50-Day Average and a 15-Day Average.
So, beginning today and continuing through Election Day, we will show Electoral Projection Maps and Charts for BOTH a 50-Day Average of Polls and a 15-Day Average of Polls. I hope it won't be too confusing. Both maps will be displayed first at the top of the page - the 50-day Average first followed by the 15-Day Average. Then the commentary for each day and updates will follow the maps. After to text commentary will be the two state polling average charts for the respective time periods. At the bottom of the page will be the National Polling Average Charts for the two periods, the chart showing all National Polls for the past 50 Days, and finally the Chart showing all state polls for the past 50 days that will include both 50 and 15 day averages for the respective states. I hope this will be helpful and interesting to follow as the campaign heats up!
Barack Obama leads John McCain 241-238 on the 15-Day Avg. Electoral Map. There are 59 votes rated as a "tossup." On the 50-Day Avg. Map, McCain leads Obama 236-216, with 86 rated a "tossup."

Yep, does the news media report the news, or do they make the news, and control the reporting of news? Do they “spin” the news?
I’m no lover of Hillary, but I must admit that since the NC and Indiana primaries, the news babes and talking heads have been talking like it’s a done deal, that Hillary is toast. With the Clintons you just never know. anything could happen in the month of June.............
Since when did the MSM select a ballot & vote? The sheeple did it. Now we all will suffer their consequences.
