Here is the 2008 Presidential Electoral Projection Map and 50-Day State Poll Average Chart for Memorial Day - Monday, May 26, 2008:
On this Memorial Day, Barack Obama continues to lead John McCain in the Electoral Vote Battle 237-236, with 65 votes rated as a "tossup." Obama has led McCain now for five days by that total. . .Don't forget to check out the charts at the bottom of the page for Latest State Polls, 50-Day Average of National Polls, and Latest National Polls. . .

undecided:
New Mexico - 5
Wisconsin - 10
Michigan - 17
Ohio - 20
Virginia - 13
McCain can probably take NM and VA. MI and WI will vote for the democrat. Ohio, again . . .
If Obama takes NM, MI, WI (in addition to flipping CO and IA), he is at 269 and wins.
Gore won NM in 2000 by a couple of votes, Obama can well take it.
Not much will change between now and November. Note that McCain trails Obama by only 2% in PA on most polls. As for this one, VA and OH show a McCain lead. An oddly big difference is New Hampshire. McCain gets to 269 with VA and OH. New Mexico or MI will decide it, and NM is within reach with Romney as VP.
Correction, MI within reach.
You are right at 269-269, the House will decide (one vote per state). As of right now it appears more states would vote Democrat (29-19-2). I don’t see the Congressional make up changing in favor of the Republicans after the next election.
McCain needs one more state besides Ohio.
These results should have alot of Freepers dancing in the streets. Their arch enemy, John McCain, looks like he will lose. How many electoral votes is Bob Barr getting?
No one needs to dance in the streets. The Republicans have put a gun to their own heads with Mc Cain. We will get what we deserve after the 1st Tuesday in Nov.. The results will mirror Nov 96’, count on it.
