Bingo! I couldn’t remember the details but vaguely remembered something in reference to Chappaquidick [sp] being included. I just assumed that if Savage were to play any DK’s for Teddy it would start with “Went to a party, the other night, had sixteen beers...” and contained an admonition to put your retainer in your purse...

While the view may be better from the waterline one can see a lot from the bridge without getting wet - and then there are those who love to swim in it.

The only reason Teddy is coddled and praised is because he’s the brother of an assassinated President, and another brother who was assassinated while running for the Presidency. He’s been forgiven for all his bad behavior and decisions because the PC police decided you shouldn’t say bad things about a man whose family has had such bad luck, never mind the fact that much of what went bad for the family was self-inflicted due to the lifestyles they led.

I unapologetically state that Nothing there offends me. I heard it last night and it didn't offend me then. Was he supposed to praise this reprobate because he's ill? He didn't wish him ill. There is no reason to respect Kennedy as a Senator or a man.

Mark Williams is having at Kennedy at this moment at wgy.com

I have no problems with him mocking Byrd. This business of politicians crying in public is obscene. Go to his bedside an blubber your eyes out in private where it belongs. Keep it out of the Senate. Our enemies are watching and mistake it for weakness.

I think he could. He's a very complex creature. Sometimes disturbing. But also sometime quite insightful.

I agree. The man still wields power. The man is still a threat to our liberty. Save the love letters for his funeral.

"I could say the same thing about Rush, Coulter, Hannity, Ingraham. Why? They couldn’t agree on a conservative for president, and push him."

Oh yeah, that's right, I forgot. The talk show hosts pick our candidates for us. We don't have the brains to do it ourselves.

I’ve always had the feeling that Savage (or whatever his REAL name is) was pretty low class.

Doesn’t take alot of talent to scream a whole bunch and make fun of dying people.

But if it works for him, what the hey...

His mortality is no more surprising than that of anyone else and no more inevitable.

It’s a miracle his liver held out this long.

Amen. Tumor or not he's still the same guy who killed mary Jo Kopechne.

He's still the same guy who has worked for 30 years to win socialized medicine in the US.

He's still the same guy who was in contact with the Kremlin in 1984 trying to work with our sworn enemies to defeat Ronald Reagan.

He's still the same guy...oh hell, I could go on all day.

Kennedy will probably be gone in about six months, if that. One might think Savage could refrain from this kind of thing until then.

Sometimes it's best to say nothing.

The RATs will trot out the old SOB at the convention to get a sympathy vote. They'll milk him as long as they can. Kennedy has no redeeming qualities. I actively wish him no ill. But I care nothing about his fate.

Oh they will indeed. And from the looks of it there's a whole teary eyed contingent here on Free Repulblic willing to sing his praises and kiss his fat a$$ now that's he's sick.

No wonder we lose so many elections...we got no fight in us and we're full of weak sisters and cry babies.

Thanks. After yesterday’s ruckus I was hoping that I wouldn’t get suspended from the board for saying what I felt to be true.

I can’t understand the animosity towards Michael Savage on the site. He’s the kind of rude wake-up call that will save Conservatism in this country.

I listened to Savage last night. He was brutal but he was brutally honest. I don't hear any of the leftist malice aimed at ailing (or even healthy) conservatives. He didn't wish him a long painful death like I've heard lefties wish for Bush. He said he was sorry Kennedy was afflicted with this.

It's natural to start reviewing the man's legacy. If you can't say anything bad about the man than maybe we shouldn't say anything at all.

I heard it too for about 15 minutes. I didn’t hear anything disrespectful from savage but I turned it off because I couldn’t take any more of kennedy’s alleged singing.

I have to turn off Savage a lot too. The guy is a train wreck. But train wrecks are oddly fascinating.
