LeBoutin’s shoes always feature the red sole, on all of them. If I ever come across a pic of a celebrity and see that red flash, I know what it is!

I spent a year in middle school wearing ‘Candies’ with *everything*. The original Candies - hard plastic sole and sky high heel with just a little strap across the toes to keep them on. I was starting to get selfconscious about my height because while my friends were getting taller, I was staying the same ol 5’ nothing I’d been for a year. Still at the same height 30 years later but I at least have better sense in footwear! I probably couldn’t walk in Candies now if you paid me.
