Bush hit the nail on the head yesterday in Jerusalem. And today, the nails started to complain.

President Bush made a moving speech in Israel to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of that state. The New York Sun began its editorial "Bush's Covenant" this way:

As far as political reactions go, it was a weird one. President Bush gave a beautiful and moving speech in the capital of Israel to give voice to America’s solidarity with the Jewish state. He reached back to Herzl and beyond, declaring that the establishment of the State of Israel was, as the president put it, “the redemption of an ancient promise given to Abraham and Moses and David — a homeland for the chosen people ...” “Israel’s population,” Mr. Bush said, “may be just over 7 million. But when you confront terror and evil, you are 307 million strong, because the United States of America stands with you.”

So how did the Democrats react? They seized on one fragment of Mr. Bush’s speech — “Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.” And the Democrats took that language as a personal affront.

The speed with which Democrats recognized themselves in that particular paragraph is telling. The president later said he wasn’t talking about them, but they insisted he was.

The problem is not peculiar to Barack Obama. If it were there would be nothing to worry about. But his ideas, to use a current term, are mainstream, at least within certain circles. For example, the Chicago City Council led by a variety of leftist aldermen, Scott Ritter, Walt Mearsheimer and Karen Dolan are embarked upon a "hands off Iran" campaign. After Downing Street writes, "Obama's Hometown Considers Resolution Against War with Iran". Hamas and people like Hamas are heroes to a lot more people than one would think.

And that's how it was back when. It's embarassing to recall now, but in the 1930s the cool thing a young man or woman to be was either a "virile" fascist or a "committed" Communist. To wear a blackshirt or a red armband then was as cool as it is to wear a keffiyeh today. If you weren't a fan of one of these two totalitarianisms you were a jerk. A Colonel Blimp. A Salvation Army tootler. And that fact illustrates, to a large extent, why totalitariansm was so dangerous in Europe.

If Bush and McCain addressed the last 4 years in this manner Republicans wouldn’t be in dire straits now.

Drop the new tone crap and kick butt.

Being a committed Bible believing Christian, I can only say that bible prophecy is being fulfilled daily as the Lord is making Israel a burdensome stone and all nations that will come against her God will destroy in the person of Jesus Christ.
We are living in the latter days and bible prophecy is being fulfilled as God has stared the timeclock Israel to bring in the 1000 year rule of Jesus Christ on the earth.
And he uses fools to bring him glory as He undermines them while they try to destroy us.

Just as the Soviets squealed like pigs when the truth was told about them, Obama’s hagiographers and brazen sycophants are whining about how unfair it is to even criticize a policy Obama has advocated. It's even racist in their minds not to agree with the great leader. Obama is weak on democracy. He's eager to fight with Bush, but Wright, dictators abroad, and anyone who hates America gets Obama’s respect, friendship, and admiration.

When I hear the title “Messiah” bestowed upon Obama I think back thru history and recall the ending of all of the false messiah’s.

It does show how ignorant the majority of Americans are in these days and that is truly sad.

BO (can’t use his middle name) ... got it wrong again. Bush was referring to Jimmah according to the administration. But as Hannity said ... “if the shoe fits.” This one really amazes me ... when you actually have this guy ON TAPE saying “no preconditions” when sitting down with Iran ... now instead of defending that (which if he believed it he should) ... he flips and denies it. I can’t believe anyone would take him serious. Our problem is not oil, its ignorance.

What a brilliant definition of today's Dims! Worthy of framing! Trully defines George W. Bush' legacy as a great statesman! No wonder the Dims are squirming! Couldn't have given McCain any better Home Run Ball if the magnificent bastard, Rove, himself had written it....let's see if McCain can knock it out of the park!

Brilliant concise analysis (doubling as a definition of BDS)

When BO(no politically correct MI) looks in a mirror he sees himself the next Jimmah, with all the potential baggage to destroy civilizations of Jimmah’s legacy. In fact he probably has the potential to destroy even more civilizations than Jimmah! All Jimmah destroyed so far is the Middle East. Obama may eclipse that destructive potential....rich targets of unintended consequences: La Raza; Nation of Islam; Communist countries everywhere; I could go on, but time for another cup of coffee.

W tossed a shoe out there, the Dims promptly put it on and it fits just right.

The Drive by’s are trying to tie McCain to President Bush’s statement. That McCain has not weighed in yet tells me he is playing Rope A Dope. Rope A Dope is a very good tactic for this Dope.
