Once upon a time, many years ago, in another life,I wore shoes like that. Today I would fall flat on my face wearing those.
I go on Medicare in two week. I doubt they would cover the damages that would occur if I wore them.
I love my Skechers, my Uggs, and my Rockports. I live in the comfort zone now.
I just received a FRmail from someone who said they aren’t sure how well those shoes shown in # 51 would do in snake country, or out in the snow, lol.
There was a thread about that about a month ago and it got pretty contentious.
I do wear my shoes inside.
The Japanese custom is very sensible. I take my shoes off immediately upon entering the house. Slip into my Isotoner slippers. I have them in every color.
Just wish I could convince Mr. RR to take his lug sole boots off. He is always tracking in sawdust, turkey poop, gravel, and other vile things. Wreaks havoc on the hardwood floor. After 47 years of marriage, I doubt if he will change. And I’ve given up trying to change him. Ain’t gonna happen. I’ll just keep my mouth shut and clean up after him. I just thank God that he is still with me to track things in.
I missed the thread about removing one’s shoes at the door. It’s whatever a person wants to do in their own home.
I have Reef flip flops in every color. Yeah, I wish Mr. T. was around, altho, he always removed his shoes at the door, too.
The older ladies with the swollen ankles waiting with me at bus stops in San Francisco, were in 100% support of my new non-fashion "statement." Pumps were always in a bag, and thereby began my collection of totes and carryalls..
We don't wear shoes in our home; but we aren't rigid about imposing it on others or even bringing it up. Taking shoes off upon entry in home is more a psychologic thing (in addition to cleanliness issues).
Piltdown man was a hoax. Those are for women who date REAL men..... You know, Neanderthals!
Don’t have to worry about meeting a guy who bathes or cuts his pony tail either.
Other than the flats, these are wonderful shoes for women who don’t walk or stand.
I do agree with you there. Flip flops are a must. Some how every time I take a trip to Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, etc., a pair always finds it’s way into my basket.
I recently moved and got rid of at least 10 pairs. I still have so many pairs that I am slightly embarrassed to say how many. Last year I went through this really slow time at work. For about a month a Zappos box came at least twice a week.
A thread about wearing/not wearing shoes in the house and people were having fits? People will argue about anything. I go barefoot/socks in the house, but what other people do in their own house is their own business. Isn't that the whole point of being conservative- not imposing your beliefs on others?
I think the reason men like women in high heels is because they know the prey can’t run away.
don’t have to worry about meeting anyone either ;)
I like my toes to breathe too!
The boots are from necessity, not desire. :^)
Woah baby! Those shoes are definitely me, especially with the hose. ROTFLOL
