Yup, always like that. Watched it with my mother for a while last year. She likes the William Shatner character. No accounting for taste. I usually read a Parker novel while it was on.

I quit watching “Without a Trace” for the same reason.

Pretty much. James Spader’s character uses his final arguments as his own leftist bully pulpit. And Shatner’s character, the “Republican” is made out to be an oafish dolt. Typical Hollywood.

I’m listening to the Sharks Game 7 anyway...to hell with Spader.

Yup! Just turn off the sound during the rants by the Alan Shore character.

Love Denny Crane (Shatner)! There’s a great scene a few seasons ago when Denny saves Alan’s life by using a rifle he keeps in his office.

[Denny, Tara, and Lori in Denny’s office as Denny loads a rifle, preparing to save Alan from a gunman holding him hostage just outside of Denny’s office door]
Denny Crane: It’s okay; I’m an ex-Marine. I was a trained sniper. Or was I a pilot? I can’t remember. Anyway, I’m more of a skeet shooter now, so when I say ‘pull,’ you’re going to open that door.
Tara Wilson: You’re insane!
Denny Crane: Pull!
[Tara opens the door; Denny fires]
Denny Crane: It’s a good feeling, you know, to shoot a bad guy. Something you Democrats would never understand. Americans... we’re homesteaders, we want a safe home, keep the money we make, and shoot bad guys.

If you can ignore the leftist garbage, it’s an entertaining show. William Shatner is hilarious as Denny Crane.

The leftist garbage seems to just get higher and smellier on the show. I got tired of the pontificating of Spader et al.

We quit watching about a year ago for just this reason. Got old. David K.’s self indulgent rants were getting in the way of any useful or entertaining creative endeavors. Too bad. There were originally some great character dynamics and good dialog.

Dave's just another self indulgent Hollywierdo (even though he and Michelle have moved out because they got sick of the place). This is coming from someone that knows him and his home crew personally. You should try being friends with these people it isn't any different then a phone rant or a rant over dinner. Thank God you can turn off the TV or change the channel.

I loved that scene :-). Great characters those two. So sad about the indulgent rants (shore character and others). Could of been great.

What was it about the title “Boston” “Legal” that made you think it would be anything but a bash fest directed at Republicans? I admit though I watch it and laugh at both the great comedy and the sadly transparent LIB agenda.

99% of television is a waste of time.

I watched it for the first time last night and while it was drowing in a liberal agenda (as one of the Justices pointed out) I did find it clever and funny, especially William Shatner. He was a hoot.

Well, it was a spinoff of "The Practice," which was actually a pretty good show when it first started. I've only seen "Boston Legal" a few times (mostly because I gave up on "The Practice" after some really outrageous story lines), but the couple times I've seen it, it's been all right. Not good enough to make me keep watching, obviously.
