The "Sixteen year old girl." A hoax???

Just read this on WND.

I am SPITTING mad. Texas authorities better have those children back in their mothers arms by tonight.

Jenny Hatch

"A 33-year-old Colorado Springs woman has been questioned about a telephone call that sparked a raid at the polygamist Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints compound in western Texas two weeks ago.

Rozita Swinton was arrested at her home Wednesday night by Colorado Springs police for an incident that occurred in February. Members of the Texas Rangers were also in Colorado Springs as part of their investigation.

"The Texas Rangers were in Colorado Springs (Wednesday) as part of their investigation involving the compound in Texas. They left and have not filed any charges on Rozita Swinton as of this time," said Colorado Springs police spokesman Lt. Skip Arms.

Colorado Springs police said the arrest warrant has been sealed and refused to release any other details, reported Deseret News."

So many posters really have no clue about the dangerous nature of this Cult. They seem much more interested in taking an ACLU stand against the State of Texas than they do in seeing that this criminal activity against these wretched Children is brought to an end. I guess to them this is just another "alternate lifestyle" and it is "discrimination" to require that these people live under the same rules that all of us "normal" people have to live under. You know like laws against statutory rape, slavery, education laws.

The fact of the matter is that the State of Texas has a vested interest in these children, not only because they reside in the State of Texas, but because the State of Texas is paying welfare money to see that these children are properly cared for and that money is going to line the pockets of the FLDS Church Hierarchy.

Frankly I think that anyone who accepts State Welfare money should automatically surrender all rights under the 4th amendment as a condition of accepting welfare. Further, the parents and the children who are the beneficiaries of that money should be required to submit to unwarranted searches and seizures and be forced to submit to random interviews to account for the way in which every penny is spent. If they refuse, then they should not only lose their rights to the money they have received, but they should forfeit their parental rights as well. Harsh? You bet, but the only reason the FLDS Church exists is because the state has been subsidizing this cult for decades.

But of course the ACLU and the Polygamy defenders on this forum would all cry foul if those measures were introduced. They trust the FLDS Child Abusers more than they trust the People of the State of Texas.

It's pathetic really. Absolutely pathetic.

My grandmother was 15 when she married my grandfather. I’m 10 years older than my wife.

Yes and it is no longer 1850, the current year is 2008, things change.

You think these FLDS people were not on welfare? Sorry Charlie, they start em young and get a whole brood on welfare. Their entire lifestyle/religious difference is a conspiracy to commit child rape and welfare fraud.

They call it “Bleeding the Beast”; the welfare fraud part that is. Cute.

I agree. I also think anyone on the government dole shouldn’t have a right to vote. They just vote for the candidate that promises them more money.

It’s sickening.

Marriage? I was 17, my husband was 25. My mom was 17 and my dad was 28. They weren’t even shot-gun weddings. My first son came 10 months later, my daughter came 14 months after that. By the time I was 21, I had three kids. It wasn’t all goodness and light.

Oh, did I tell you we were Mormon. It was encouraged by our Southern Utah town. No one told me there were other options.

Should we dig up the “Women shouldn’t be voting” post, or do we just chalk that up to the “Woman-hating FR Cabal”.

One thing that is obvious about this statement is that the kids are a weapon you are using to beat the parents with. So do not pretend you do care what happens to the children after you have punished the parents by taking them away.

Hopefully someone in this legal process does.

Frankly I don't care what happens to the parents. My only concern is for the children.

Do you realize that a good portion of these kids don't have a clue as to who their parents are?

Maybe you don't know that. Maybe you should educate yourself about this destructive cult.

LOL!

No, because there are a lot of young children being born and raised there that are going to need a place to live in the next few years.

At least in Harlem no one is telling the little girls that it is their duty to be raped by an old man and bred like a prize cow every time possible for the rest of her life. And then she is to apply for government assistance and turn over the money to the pervert, so he can raise more little girls to rape and trade for other little girls to rape. And if you don't under stand this may god have mercy on your sole.

I have never seen so many individuals so willing to defend a bunch of perverts and child molesters.

Pray tell -- just how persecuting the victims of this gang of miscreants is the right way to prosecute the perverts and child molesters?

All I can say is this forum is not the same as when I joined.

You can say that again.
Used to be most FReepers fully believed that the constitution applied to everyone. Now the socialization of the US political system from Kindergarten to the White House is in full flower, and most are not willing to stand up and defend their God given Rights, or those of their neighbor.
