At a rally today Obama explained that he was coming under fire for the remarks he made in San Francisco, not because what he said wasn't true but, "because I said something everyone knows is true." I know nothing about the small town communities in the midwest, as I'm a black man from an inner-city. So I'm going to accept Obama's San Francisco remarks as truth just for argument sake and apply them to the environment I was raised in.
In Obama's words, "But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when theres not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothings replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So its not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who arent like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." This is truth for Obama, that small towns are filled with trashy, uneducated bigots that carry bibles in one hand and shotguns in the other. If this is true, although I know that it's not, what can be said about the inner-cities in America is much worst in comparison and allows one to understand why Obama attends Rev. Wright's church.
If in Obama's world small towns have turned to religion, guns, bigotry, and xenophobia due to economic crisis, then what have inner-city minorities turned to when faced with similar circumstances? According to Obama's theory, minorities have turned to drugs, violence, crime, and bigotry due to bitterness. When one compares the two communities that exist in Obama's mind one sees a striking difference that seems to portrait minorities as socially unable to cope with economic crisis in a non-destructive way. In Obama's world, when faced with adversity, whites turn to bibles and the second amendment while blacks turn to drugs and crime. How does Obama reconcile this stark difference in his mind without concluding blacks are inferior to whites? Simple, he turns to Rev. Wright's philosophy on what the white man has done to oppress the black man.
In Wright and Obama's world blacks are inferior to whites because whites have ensnared them in a web of devious tricks to keep them oppressed and inferior. So blacks in the inner-city turn to drugs and crime because the white man has made it that way. If it weren't for the white man inner-city blacks would turn to God and family in times of crisis, the same way whites in little towns do. This is another "truth" Obama believes that people got upset over when they discovered he felt this way due to the Wright fiasco.
Obama's disconnect from reality is stunning. His arrogance makes him unable to realize that his beliefs aren't true. The problems in the inner-city are a result of the type of thinking Obama employs. Small town America isn't populated with a bunch of white trash, bigots thumping bibles and waving shotguns in the air. If Obama spent more time getting to know America he'd realize his thoughts disqualify him from being President.
Obama’s views are those of a typical privileged urban liberal. Every white liberal I know holds exactly the same images of both rural white Evangelicals, and ghetto blacks as those described here. It is frightening how ignorant and racist they are. If, God forbid, this strange fellow is elected President, we will see liberal fascism fully in the saddle in the US.
This is actually a big story. It goes right to the mindset of Barack (redacted) Obama. The press will do all it can to down play the speech and try to cover it up. If a Republican had said it the story would be going 24/7 on the networks.
The most bitterness I’ve seen in this campaign has come from the so-called church that Hussein Obama has attended for the last 20 years.
This man certainly won’t unite this nation. He’d divide it worse than any president in our history.
“Obamas views are those of a typical privileged urban liberal”
BINGO!
“Obamagasms from sea to shining sea”
ROTFLOL!!!
The Obama campaign is taking water...
The Macaca fiasco was concocted from day one.
When the media wants to give someone a pass, they do.
Obama said that he would not criticize Jimmy Carter for meeting with Hamas because this is a free country and Jimmy is a private citizen. Obama DID criticize Don Imus, private citizen, and demand his termination from broadcasting.
Does Mr. T pity THIS fool???
Which is why he was right at home with the billionaire and millionaire elites of San Francisco and the Bay area, where he made these elitist remarks about middle America.
"With each new utterance on the topic of Reverend Wright, Barack Obama seems to confirm his own moral obliviousness. Worse yet, he seems to have disdain for those who are troubled by his own unwillingness, even now, to break with Wright."
On his new campaign plane, Obama said he has spoken with Wright in recent days and disputed any suggestion that he or his campaign have asked him to stay out of the limelight.
"I have talked to him," he said. "I haven't asked him to do anything."
Walter Williams: "For the nation and for black people, the first black president should be the caliber of a Jackie Robinson and Barack Obama is not. Barack Obama has charisma and charm but in terms of character, values and understanding, he is no Jackie Robinson. By now, many Americans have heard the racist and anti-American tirades of Obama's minister and spiritual counselor. There's no way that Obama could have been a 20-year member of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church and not been aware of his statements."
Thomas Sowell: "It is painful to watch defenders of Barack Obama tying themselves into knots trying to evade the obvious. Some are saying that Senator Obama cannot be held responsible for what his pastor, Jeremiah Wright, said. In their version of events, Barack Obama just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong timeand a bunch of mean-spirited people are trying to make something out of it."
Hussein Obamas racist pseudo minister has turned the Dems' run for President into party's train wreck!
Devastatingly, Shelby Steele writes: Obama has fellow-traveled with a hate-filled, anti-American black nationalism all his adult life, failing to stand and challenge an ideology that would have no place for his own (white) mother."
Just What Did Obama Know About Wright's Past Sermons? (Plenty)
Barack Obama either agreed with what was preached from the Trinity pulpit, or he tuned it out and stayed around pretending to for political reasons. To say he stayed for 20 years but doesn't agree with Wright's preaching is incredible denial. It'd be like a man buying White Sox season tickets for 20 years, attending the games, and saying he's not a fan.
Obamas supporters want us to ignore this story just push it under the rug. While theyll align Republicans with any obscure pastor who does or says something controversial, theyre trying to convince us that Obamas 20-year long close relationship with Wright, including his effective endorsement of him, his church and rhetoric with a $22,500 donation in 2006 is irrelevant.
When Obama decided against wearing an American flag pin, we may all have been a bit too quick to accept his rationale, too quick to find that issue unimportant. Now, that American flag pin has gotten a lot bigger for a lot of us, especially in light of what may have been and may still be Obamas deeper, and, perhaps, secret, less than patriotic beliefs about America.
Wright says that blacks cant be expected to sing God Bless America because of racism. Obama doesnt salute the flag during the National Anthem. That sure strikes me as an amazing coincidence since Obama swears he never heard Wright say anything against America.
Here is the link to the Star Spangled Banner video with obama standing there without his hand over his heart...
Notice her ear ring!
The picture, which appeared on a U.S. Web site, showed the Illinois senator donning a Muslim elder's headdress and robes during a 2006 trip to Wajir in northeastern Kenya. Ahmed Sheikh Bahalow, a retired teacher and elder from ethnically (read Muslim) Somali Wajir, said his community was offended by the insinuation Obama had done anything wrong on his visit. "The Somali community and in particular those living in Kenya have never been that interested in America politics," Bahalow told Reuters in the central town of Isiolo. "But we are following it keenly now because we have been provoked." Wajir residents planned to demonstrate in the town after Friday prayers to show their support for Obama, he said. Those aren't Episcopalians praying on Friday.
In private he is very condescending, elitist and snobbish. His wife is like this in public I can't imagine what “she” is like in private!!!
LOL!
Jackie Robbinson was a Republican.
This was not a stray open mike, he thought he was among friends and that this was “strictly off the record”. Somebody finked on him and they cannot be happy about it.
He is unfit for Senator and now he wants to be President. It will never happen.
“Somebody finked on him and they cannot be happy about it.”
It would be funny if the leak was an operative in Rush Limbaugh’s Operation Chaos. ;-p
