Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee enjoys the first victory on Super Tuesday for the Republicans as he takes all 18 delegates in the state of West Virginia, winning 52% of the vote, although rumors abound regarding the McCain campaign's possible instruction to their delegates to switch to his side.
Mitt Romney finished second with 47% of the vote, followed by McCain at 1%.
Rumors are circulating that the McCain campaign instructed their delegates to defect over to Mike Huckabee's side as to avoid a Romney victory. Nationally, McCain is significantly ahead of Huckabee and can afford giving the state's 18 delegates to Huckabee, but certainly not to Romney, who was originally in the lead when polling began in West Virginia by a wide margin and trails McCain nationally by only 17 delegates.

Well..if you think the Republican Party should be pro-choice, pro gay marriage, support amnesty and sanctuary cities, raise taxes, spend irresponsibly, and talk about how “independent” we were during Reagan/Bush....then quite frankly..you might need to leave.
Because the GOP that i know and love..DOESN’T support those things like Mitt Romney did as late as 2005.
I could care less if the man was a Mormon, Methodist, Catholic or Jehovah’s Witness... Republican candidates that I choose to support DON’T take those positions..EVER
Big fan of Clinton, heh?
Huckleberry should give them BACK then if he denies it!
What a fraud!
McCain, if he can’t win, then he’ll wreck it for his opponent.
I guess the Ru Paul crowd did the same??? Not surprised!
I’ll warn you once. If you don’t back off I’ll report you to the admin moderator for stalking.
“McCain did not win West Virginia. Simply not true.”
Umm, to have read that in the literal sense was a pretty hard undertaking.
Translation: McCain ultimately wins.
“legitimate conservative candidates”...LOL
Hack and Frack have been in bed together for a long time.
McNasty will get his reward in November! I can’t wait for the look on his face then. Pig.
I really don’t see your point Petronski. Romney’s campaign simply pointed out that it took a secret deal between McCain and Huckadummy to defeat him.
Yea, that's it.
On the contrary. I want someone who can give as good as he gets. Politics isn't tiddlywinks, and I am a big beleiver in the Lee Atwater approach.
(From your screen name, I'd have thought you felt the same)
“Im a real conservtive and Im voting for McCain......go find one of those nice paper bags to breath into.....”
There is nothing real about your conservatism. I don’t need to go get a bag to breath into. I have a long memory and will not forget what Mr. McVain has done to the conservative movement. My energies will be put into defeating him.
Bush never whined and complained. Gore did..much like Team Romney is now.
There was nothing “shady” about what occured today in WV. No one force these delegates to vote the way they did. They were asked... Last time i checked that wasn’t illegal.
You’re making a very poor apples to oranges comparison here..
Again..thanks for playing..no parting gifts for you though..
New sources, including an advisor to Gov. Mike Huckabee, have told the Arkansas Times that Huckabee and a senior member of his staff exerted behind-the-scenes influence to bring about the parole of rapist Wayne Dumond, who Missouri authorities say raped and killed a woman there shortly after his parole.

Gang of 14.
Keating 5.
Dirty, Rotten politics. McCain is making Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh look righter than ever.
GO, MITT!!!
Huck is a liar.
My sentiments exactly...I was actually pleading with people to hang in with McCain IF he was the nominee and do anything to stop Shrill or Obamanation of Islam...now I’m seeing what Rush and Coulter saw all along!
Don’t waste your pity on me, grandma. I’ll do just fine thank you.
The four of them we have running now aren’t worthy of the office of the President, imo. We’ll get one of them as our nominee and I hope which ever it is can win in Nov. because I don’t want another democrat in the White House.
Alliances are built and that is how you win in politics. Like it or not that’s the game as it’s played. And come Nov. I hope we’ve not destroyed our ability to build an alliance that can defeat the democratic candidate.
I'll never understand why people think our politicians should fight political battles with one hand tied behind their back.
Give me a Lee Atwater ANY DAY over these namby-pambies!
No, he won! What he won was stolen from him. It may all come back to roost at the convention.
