I am sensing something VERY EXCITING happening in the primary campaign. First let me start off by stating that my favorite scene in the original Rocky movie was when Apollo Creed is relaxing, apparently unaware of a scene on the TV news in his room showing Rocky Balboa furiously boxing away at slabs of meat. Only one member of Apollo's crew sees that news clip and appears somewhat concerned but not Apollo. For him, the upcoming fight with Rocky will be a breeze. Folks, the same thing is happening right now. John McCain is arrogantly assuming that Super Tuesday is a done deal for him. What he (and the MSM) is not noticing is that Mitt Romney is strenuously working to overturn that presumed result. Perhaps like that worried member of Apollo Creed's team, someone in the McCain camp might be noticing that Romney just won a huge VICTORY in the Maine caucuses on Saturday with 52% against McCain's mere 21%. In fact, this was the most heavly attended caucus event in Maine since 1980. Apparently Republican voters have been turned off by McCain's demeanor of an ungracious shmuck.
Like Rocky Balboa, Mitt Romney could well fluster the expectations of the MSM as well as the smug politicians who endorsed McCain such as Ahnold and the smoothly tanned Governor Crist of Florida. So if Republican voters, as has happened on Saturday in Maine, demonstrate their disapproval of the overbearing McCain, it could well result in a poltical miracle this Tuesday. Oh, and if anybody can find a video clip of Rocky punching meat on the TV news while Apollo Creed is completely unaware of the challenge ahead, please send it to me.
Meanwhile enjoy this Rocky training clip whose theme music could well be adopted by the Romney campaign should this Tuesday's election results counter the liberal conventional wisdom.

PING!
1st pingee?
I hope you’re right. I’ll be casting my vote for Romney on Tuesday. We’ll see.
Rocky Romney? Top 10!
Top 10?
I hope your right PJ, “President McCain” is the stuff nightmares are made of!
Duh, that’s you’re, not your
top ten
Polls are now showing that Romney is closing fast even in McCain’s Arizona. Perhaps I’m wrong but I think the key event in the past week was during the Republican debate when Romney and McCain were asked to saying something nice about each other. Romney was totally gracious and spoke about McCain’s war record and service to country. Then McCain responded by starting out to say that Romney was a good businessman but couldn’t just let it go at that. He had to toss in the snide remark about workers in Romney’s companies losing jobs. McCain just couldn’t remain magnamanous in victory. He revealed himself as an arrogant snarling shmuck and I think this turned off a lot of Republican voters.
I’ll be voting in the Kansas caucus on Saturday for Romney.
Remember the Maine!...caucuses.
Yes, political miracles do HAPPEN!!!
GO ROCKY!!! GO ROMNEY!!!
Please let the political MIRACLE happen this Tuesday! Let the liberal MSM and smug politicians experience extreme Freudenschade with McCain crashing and burning. Must seem the with egg of their face!!!
I’m not surprised about Arizona. I don’t think McCain is as well liked there as would be expected. I doubt Romney will carry Illinois, but I plan to vote for him anyway. But if McCain DOES get the nomination I’ll vote third party or write-in (or stay home).
I think the MSM will be very surprised by the results in a couple of days. People aren’t motivated to go out and vote for arrogant shmuck. If McCain loses, he will have been defeated by his own Inner Shmuck.
Charles, don't forget to vote on Tuesday.
I was just on another Rasmussen poll thread. While they show McCain & Romney tied, most other polls show McCain with a sizeable lead. I’m not going to hold my breath on Tuesday, just go out and vote and then wait. We’ll see.
The problem is, most people aren’t political hogs like us. They consider themselves conservative, and only know McCain is a Republican who was a war ‘hero’. They know little else. Plus, he’s a household name vs. Romney who they know little of (except he’s Mormon).
Then there’s the Huckabee factor. Who will he draw votes from? As far as I’m concerned, Super Tuesday is up for grabs, but McCain has a lot going for him.
Just in. MA breaking STRONG for Romney. Yeah, I know he was governor there but previous pundits/polls gave it to McCain. Latest Rasmussen shows Romney WAY in the lead there. 55 to 23.
