The new year is only a couple of weeks old. This is 2008 an election year, yet the MSM is already calling it over for several candidates. Among them Fred Thompson.
Why are they calling for him to drop out? It's because of his message. The only candidate that does not seem to have special interest backers or a huge war chest. One that speaks more common sense then the others and is smarter than the others.
Fred did not spend 2007 stomping the nation drumming up delegates. This is the reason the MSM and many so-called right/conservative pundits are against him. After a year of hub hub and blah blah, The real election campaigning begins and Fred came out swinging.
Going after Gov. Huckabee, and exposing many liberal progressive policies. Thompson is about to stir up the true conservatives. As the right wing extremists (called fox by the liberals) support Mitt, and Huck, along with McCain (Beltway Boys, Britt, Hannity, and Hugh Hewitt). They all say it's too late for Fred and he is fading fast. How can one fade when the race has only begun?
There are many more delegates to be one and I think Fred will get a good portion of these as he now begins to campaign. Will it be enough to stop the socialist in disguise, (the other republican nominees)? I am not sure but am hopeful.
“Mike Huckabee is leading those poor deceived Christians, and have fooled them down the road to communism... just like the same way Jim Jones fooled those poor people in Jones Town......”
You are absolutely stark maving mad. You really need to be on an anti-psychotic medication.
Resorting to personal attacks, just like a liberal.
And another thing ? THE LORD REBUKE YOU !!!!!
...”was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?...
“And another thing ? THE LORD REBUKE YOU !!!!!”
There is another case where you assume authority from Jesus Christ that you don’t possess. You are reckless in your statements and don’t have any scriptural authority to be rebuking anyone.
Don’t be so presumptuous in invoking the Lord Jesus’ name to support your hurling of anathemas.
I don’t know where you learned your theology, but either they were wrong or you were not listening.
I fear God and trust Him, especially as He is manifested in God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I would not dare hurl an anathema in His name at someone without real knowledge of the person; which you don’t possess. You strike me as a very foolish person. Be that as it may, I fear God not man - you don’t speak for God.
Plan “B” is that if there is a liberal RINO as our nominee, we either vote 3rd party or don’t vote at all in the general election. There’s nothing in it for us Conservatives, and if the GOP decides it doesn’t need us, it’ll start to do a perfect impersonation of the MA GOP. For another reference, see the Monty Python “Dead Parrot” skit.
“Resorting to personal attacks, just like a liberal.”
No, I’m just making an observation. You really need to calm down. You are getting entirely too upset about things that don’t warrant it. I will apologize about the “anti-psychotic” remark though - that was also unwarranted.
You know, I don’t know what God has planned, I just know He is in control of the situation. I learned a long time ago that what God choses to do is not always what I think it should be, but it always turns out that, after the fact, I can see His hand in things. Maybe He does want Fred in office. If He does, man can’t thwart it...God can bend men to move anyway He choses. So, take comfort in that. God is in control, not me or you, but God.
“No,,, it is YOU who do not have the authority to rebuke anyone”
I did not rebuke you. It is you that keep hurling anathemas. Once again I encourage you to calm down.
And no, I do not consider myself a prophet; even remotely. The Ezekial passage was not a claim to authority. I’m suprized you don’t get the meaning. In truth, all Christians are called to be a watchman on the wall warning others. That warning of others has nothing to do with political matters, but only the spiritual condition of a soul before God.
Please don’t attempt to turn a political campaign into some religious war. You will only bring grief and shame on yourself...the same is equally true for me. Also, please be careful with labeling persons you don’t know. It is dangerous...I will take that advice for myself also.
Also, to be entirely up front, I do not possess a formal theological education. I am just well read on the subject.
However, my reading is strictly in the conservative evangelical school of thought (I’m a true Southern Baptist - not a Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton).
“Plan B is that if there is a liberal RINO as our nominee, we either vote 3rd party or dont vote at all in the general election.”
Hey, it is your vote to do with as your conscience dictates. If Guiliani were to be the nominee, I would sit out the election also. So, I will not critisize you.
“Upset ? how can I be upset when I got my mind on the pain in my shoulder ?”
I’m not sure what you mean? However, if you are in pain, I am genuinely sorry about that.
Not just Rudy, but the other pretenders. I used to remember when liberal phonies were consigned to the scrap heap in the primaries early on. Have we gone so far downhill that we are taking people that are running for the most powerful office on the planet at their words in direct contradictions to their records ? It’s beyond absurd.
I’d be more than happy if Fred weren’t the nominee to support another Conservative candidate, but aside from Duncan Hunter, the rest of the field is the worst bunch of Fellinesque clowns and RINO asshats I’ve ever seen run for our party’s nomination. It’s like the grown-up Conservatives didn’t even want to bother to run (and the rodent side is no better, more akin to “Romper Room”). Sad and pathetic.
If Fred does not get it, I will still write in him in... that is what I call my plan F ( for FRED ).
“And if you disagree with what I said, that Christan’s are being fooled by Mike Hackabee akin to how Jim Jones fooled those people in Jone town, then ? that’s your choice and you have that right to disagree, but, I strongly disagree with you.”
I cannot speak for others, I don’t run in big circles and I don’t even discuss politics with members of my own church. I’m not sure how many of them even feel.
For myself, I can say I am fully aware of Mike’s flaws. I am not an adamant supporter of him either. I think his positions on abortion, homosexuality, and the 2nd Ammendment are rock solid and reflect my own views. I believe he will also be a Hawk on foreign policy as I am. I also believe he will be pro-Israel as I am. The other issues just aren’t as important to me at this time.
I fully encourage everyone to support the candidate of their choice to the fullest, but not to the point of being “scorched earth” in that support. Meaning, if their guy doesn’t get the nod, then nobody else will get my vote. Unless, from the get go, they opposed that candidate before they supported their own. For instance, I have maintain, long before I settled on Mike, that I would never vote for Guiliani because of his history of abortion, homosexuals, and guns. Because of my extreme disdain for mormonism (yes I know I’m being inconsistant) that predates any election, I cannot support Romney either. I would gladly support Fred if and when Mike drops out. I could also vote for McCain. The other candidates just aren’t viable options because they don’t have voter backing (too bad in Hunter’s case).
Well, let me leave you in peace tonight. I need to sign off.
