I’ll bet the endorsement is the Club for Growth.

I encourage all who can to send send him some cash.

Hearing him slam the RINO Huckabee was worth it!

Senator Thompson played a key role in passing McCain-Feingold, he opposes a Marriage Protection Amendment, and he’s never explicitly renounced his opposition to state laws banning abortion.
Dobson ripped Thompson back in March 07 when Fred talks started warming up..
Since then they’ve reconciled and have been TALKING ALOT!!!
Dobson has had EVERY OPPORTUNITY to endorse Huckabee this campaign and hasn’t!! He even went out of his way to deny a report that he was endorsing Huckabee.
This would be a stunner of epic proportions if Thompson landed Doc Dobson!!
The state rights issue has more to do with federalism than opposing anti-abortion or marriage protection laws.
Dobson endorsement would be bigger than NRA imo because of the shock value behind it. It would be a tremendous blow to the Huckster.
This would be a perfect 1-2 punch on him.. #1 Nailing him as a liberal on debate night, #2 Dobson endorsement.
WHEW

Agreed....SO SEND FRED SOME CASH...!

Game, set, match.
That’s in the morning. Then, at noon, the NRA endorses him and by 3pm, Rush is doing fundraising on the air for Fred.
Ron Paul in a complete idiot and Mike Huckabee is his slightly smarter cousin!
“Thats in the morning. Then, at noon, the NRA endorses him and by 3pm, Rush is doing fundraising on the air for Fred.”
From your lips to GOD’s ears my friend!
FRED Thompson will appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court in the mold of
John Roberts
Antonin Scalia
Joseph Alito
Clarence Thomas.
We need Thompson as PRESIDENT!
Get it together, people! Vote for FRED!
I’m a Mitt guy and I loved it when Fred deballed the Fraud from Hope.
Hey Huck, welcome to the Gates of Hell.
Spotted them some cash also. HOPE things finally start to gain traction for him!
Bada BOOM bada bing! Huckabee looked a little uncomfortable. :)
“Spotted them some cash also. HOPE things finally start to gain traction for him!”
SWEET!
I too am hoping this gets things going!
Dang...that’ll leave a mark...
I don’t get to see the debates, but I made another donation to Fred last night, anyway! Go, Fred!

You’re misunderstanding what I wrote. Even if Roe v. Wade is overturned, Senator Thompson has said consistently since 1994 that he wouldn’t support state laws to prohibit abortion. During his 1994 campaign he said, Im not willing to support laws that prohibit early-term abortions. He told Project Vote Smart, Abortions should be legal in all circumstances as long as the procedure is completed within the first trimester of the pregnancy. He explicitly refused to support laws prohibiting abortions for convenience:

In 1996 he signed a document saying, I do not believe abortion should be criminalized. He still personally opposes laws to prohibit abortion:

Here’s a quote from his November 7 conversation with Tim Russert:
“When I saw—and again, ALL CONSISTENT WITH WHAT I’VE SAID [emphasis mine]. I—people ask me hypothetically, you know, OK, it goes back to the states. Somebody comes up with a bill, and they say were going to outlaw this, that or the other. And my response was I do not think it is a wise thing to criminalize young girls and perhaps their parents as aiders and abettors or perhaps their family physician... I do not think that you can have a, a, a law that would be effective and that would be the right thing to do ...”
Dobson’s endorsement would be a spark compared to a blowtorch NRA endorsement.
