I'm Going To Flip Flop: Vote Duncan Hunter
Take a Stand Against Liberals ^ | 1/2/08 | Jenn of the Jungle

Posted on 01/02/2008 9:41:32 AM PST by pissant

All right, after all this time I finally endorsed Fred Thompson as president on my Monday show. And now I'm going to flip flop.

I kept hearing....."I like Duncan Hunter, but he doesn't stand a chance."

But then if that's who I REALLY want and so many others all say the same damn thing, and we all vote for him, then dammit, HE DOES STAND A CHANCE!

So, now, in writing, I OFFICIALLY ENDORSE DUNCAN HUNTER!

Why do I endorse Duncan? Let me count the ways:

1)He believes judges "have a responsibility to strictly interpret our nation’s laws and not legislate from the bench with their own political or social agenda."

2)Wants to do away with stupid "hate crime" laws."I have always voted against this type of legislation because I firmly believe that the use of violence against any innocent person is wrong, regardless of that individuals race, religion, nationality or sexual orientation."

3)Duncan wants YOU to keep your guns, so you can protect Jenn from bad boys! " We must vigorously defend against all attempts to chip away at the Second Amendment. You know as well as I do that there is one thing criminals prefer over any other: unarmed victims."

4)No pandering on tax cuts,"I do not support efforts to identify segments of our society that are more deserving of a tax cut over another and I believe political stereotyping in this area hinders the goal of providing efficient tax relief. It is important to create a federal tax policy that is both fair to American taxpayers while, at the same time, ensuring that our nation meets its financial obligations."

5)On Education,"I believe we can educate students more effectively by returning school curriculum prerogatives to the states, local communities and, most importantly, to the family."

6)DUMPING THE ANCHOR BABY DEBACLE:"I oppose summarily bestowing citizenship on people who have crossed our borders illegally. Therefore, I cosponsored H.R. 1940, the Birthright Citizenship Act, which grants automatic citizenship only to those who have at least one parent who is a U.S. citizen." Amen!

7) Bite me China: "Further, America’s one-way-street trade relationship with China and other nations has reduced manufacturing jobs severely in the U.S. I would change the one-way-street into a two-way-street by putting the same charges on foreign goods that they put on ours."

There are many more reasons, he's Presidential, he's served, he's a good man.....

VOTE DUNCAN HUNTER 2008!

Wouldn’t they have to find the Hunter bandwagon first?

Why don’t you clarify what didn’t answer your question? Is it about Kissinger, China and Vietnam? After Kissinger sent that letter China Resources Holding Company went and set up Lippo. That is why the embargo had to be lifted. That is why our POWs were LEFT BEHIND. The embargo couldn’t be lifted with our soldiers unaccounted for. That is why the documents of live sightings had to be shredded.

You asked what did China have to do with Vietnam. That is the answer. We withdrew from Vietnam. China Resources Holding Company opened Lippo Group with American business partners, such as Stephens Investment of Little Rock, AR and Mr A. Vernon Weaver, at that time the Vice-President for Operations in the Pacific Rim of Stephens Investment to conduct business in Vietnam.

If Fred had not been on a television show, do you think he would be considered electable? Look at him, tired looking, jowls, not that I have anything against him. He might make a decent president, but you know that if he hadn’t been on tv, he would not be given a second look.

Michigan is a perfect state for Hunter because he was one of the few people who opposed free trade with China. This would really resonate with the many Michiganers who have lost jobs to China. It would be a great crossover message that would resonate with many Democrats, Independents as well as Republicans. Clinton and the other Democrats are phonies. They talk about helping the working man, but they have supported free trade with China. Bill Clinton was the one who passed NAFTA and it was under his presidency in the nineties that all of this China trade began. We did not see “Made in China” in our stores till the 1990’s — under Bill Clinton’s watch.

Better protecting the country and its citizens than selling out jobs for said citizens in question.

LOL, truth is that the majority of people who would ‘support’ Fred are really only ‘settling’ for him. They are not voting FOR him, but rather AGAINST someone else!!! Yes, he is that bad for a GENERAL ELECTION. Duncan Hunter is the only conservative worthy of the vote and his record matches his talk. He would actually ADVANCE CONSERVATISM while Fred has made bad judgment on campaign finance reform, MFN status for China, indifference for illegal immigration, inability to have made an impact in the Senate and if he wasn’t an actor no one would even give him ANY ‘electability’ factor. Look how he has underwhelmed with all the coverage and advantages he had. Now that is a RED FLAG! Duncan Hunter is the man who has never stumbled and is always impressing people. He is really the FIRST CHOICE of many. It is a problem to get past the manipulation but people need to learn to stand up or things will never change.

Let’s not forget that Fred had all the opportunities Hunter never has had and has done nothing but squander them on his own and I think that alone and his having come down so far shows that he really is not so ‘electable’ after all and will get slaughtered in a GENERAL ELECTION.

Vision has shown his/her lack of confidence in Fred in that he/she made a post to me after I said Fred cannot win a general election in that Vision wanted to ‘wager’ me and yet backed down when I said Fred can have ANY OTHER VP other than Hunter and I would take him/her up on it. If one has so much confidence in Fred you’d think they’d back up their words. I clearly have that much confidence in Hunter that I think he’d be even that good as VP. But since they all think Hunter is so bad a candidate why would they even want to consider him as VP? Maybe because they know darn well they would NEED him to actually get people to vote for the unelectable corpse.

Fred is more aligned with McCain. You really don’t have any confidence in your dear Fred do you when you want Hunter THAT bad, LOL.

You nailed it right there. It is more than ‘name recognition’. Hunter has all the qualities that would make him the most dangerous candidate for the Demonrats to face. He exudes leadership and confidence and is able to garner respect and impress and get to the heart of issues. The other candidates are bumblers.

Ha! Try to explain it away but the fact is people are impressed by Hunter but hold back support with the manipulation for ‘name recognition’ and the media blackout and lack of coverage. Fred had all that and people HAVE NOT LIKED WHAT THEY’VE SEEN!! I’ll support a man who has never failed when given the opportunity to be seen and heard and wows people.

Losing support does not = good general election material. The fact that Fred had all those advantages and people have reacted so coldly to him ought to be a red flag. This does deal with the man himself. Hunter’s lack of support in polls is more of the act of manipulation in that 99.9% of the people that see and hear from him are completely impressed and say he’d make the best President and he would actually be their first choice BUT BUT BUT ‘name recognition’ which is BS. Put that together with the obvious media blackout and silence because Hunter really is THAT GOOD and they cannot bear people to actually HEAR from him and you’ve got the obvious man who would have all the goods in a general election. Fred does not.

Yeah, and what an impression Fred made. It is clear that the vast majority that are actually still going to vote for him really are not voting FOR him!! Fred would not win a general election.

LOL, Hunter doesn’t have what it takes to beat the Demonrats. In fact, you are making like Hunter has been that bad a candidate yet here you people are wanting Hunter on the Fred ticket as VP!!! Now how does that make sense? Of course, Fred would desperately NEED Duncan Hunter for a general election because Fred could never beat the Demonrat. Take another VP and be confident in your man if that is what you really think but I find it amusing all you people degrade Hunter’s lack of support when you all pretty much are admitting to his awesome-ness by desperately wanting him on a Fred ticket because you know Fred cannot do it otherwise and people would not be voting for Fred, but the VP!!!

You’ve nailed it. Out of desperation Fred Thompson, of all people, is the man they bring in as ‘savior’ of conservatism??!! And I’ve maintained that it is because he is an actor on the side. Yet in person he really is uninspiring and not very personable. Yet they really thought this would assure ‘electability’. He hasn’t even gone over well with all the advantages he’s had in the GOP!! The man would be trouble in a general election and you said what is his major problem and he doesn’t have much of a personal story to bring the respect factor-military service or much of showing great ability in the Senate.
