Last time I was there was 91.......they closed my Airbase down a few years after that. Madrid & Moron, Cadiz etc were my hangouts. Later I was stationed in the Azores and got a few TDY’s back and forth too Spain but never really traveled as much.......great food and drink in Spain. Never a complaint.

Stay safe and Thanks for the tip on the sherry...... I have given up drinking long ago so will pass on to my Girl Friday who does take a sip now and then !!

thanks !

You should also tell her (after she buys some Fino Sherry) that she may want to try Manzanilla. It is a young sherry (must be drank within a year of bottling), which is aged in barrels next to where the Guadalquivir meets the Atlantic in Sanlucar. As a result, the salt water air permeates the pores of the barrels giving it a slightly salty aftertaste. Tastes better than it sounds, especially with shellfish!
