We're exploding lemons today.
humblegunner is letting Eaker explode lemons on his head. We have photos and video which will be posted very soon.
TheMom, Allegra, TheGirl, and me are all witnesses to this bizarre behavior.
True. They've tried to blow me up a few times, but al Qaeda's aim sucks and I'm still standing. ;-)
Those lemons, however, weren't so lucky.
There indeed be such a cruel and unusual law. Unnatural to boot. Still better than other places. When I moved to Texas 30+ years ago. It really surprised me to see fireworks on sale in December. But then I found out that most cities ban them all the time. The bigger the city, the more anal they are about enforcing the ban. I expect to see lots of fireworks tomorrow night here in Killeen.
Of course the best fireworks around here are 25 mm, 105mm, 120mm and a few 155mm "boomers". The big 'uns literally rattle the windows. Cool beans.
I'd be willing to go over, but not unarmed. I see pictures of some folks from the Army outfit I support. They go over for around 6 months as "survey" teams. Mixed teams of military and DA civilians. The civilians are sometimes shown wearing ACUs, but never armed. I want to be able to shoot back!.
My nephew was over there. All over there, "there" being Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and everywhere in that area with Army personnel stationed. Not sure just what he was doing. He's an E7, reservist, an has been back over a year now.
Is that a bottle of Shiner Bock that I spy behind you in pic 2?
That’s my beer you Longhorns got!!
It had a flavor I'm not sure I liked.
Funny you should say that.
As soon as she arrived at The Keep, she almost got took out by an I.E.L.
'Course we do.
It's our favorite Australian airline.
Now I know what The Joker’s little brother does for a living.
Good video. I wonder how many people missed the point of the song?
We did at least a month each year in FP residency. I guess it was really only 3 weeks. We had our scheduled week of vacation during that month, so we worked every other night to “cover” for our FP colleagues. Those were the months that I found out I could be one of the boys if it meant the difference between surviving or not.
here’s the story about the unwise use of photography in the OR:

Great, HG’s building his ‘sploding lemons using the propane tank for a table!
I live in a small town so there is not much “enforcement” of the fireworks laws. Like I noted, it’s more of a burn ban enforcement than anything else.
My thoughts too, before I even read your note! LOL
We used due diligence with our lighters checking for leaks.
We also had a mostly full cup of water and a band-aid handy too.
Finally, we had 411 on the speed dial just in case.
Our motto is safety first!
Even if you don’t care about your head - or HG’s head, any way - please watch your hands. Watching y’all check that dud was the scariest thing I’ve seen in a while.
I love the laughing...were y’all by any chance doing lemon drop shots during the shenanigans? :-) I’m sorry your time home is so boring, bummer...HA HA!
I still want you to send me a picture of your plate at Cafe Adobe, preferably BEFORE its scarfed! Or you could do a “before” and “after”...I can show my friends what REAL TexMex food is...
Damn....we were there yesterday (after seeing the Texans pound the Jaguars) and I didn't have my camera.
I INHALED the food.
