Mike Huckabee: Arkansas secular liberal?
Bitsblog ^ | December 21, 2007

Mike Huckabee campaigns as religious Baptist. Yet how religious is Huck?

Robert Novak, in the Washington Post, questions the depth of Huckabee’s Baptist support:

More than personality explains why not all his Baptist brethren have signed on the dotted line for Huckabee. He did not join the “conservative resurgence” that successfully rebelled against liberals in the Southern Baptist Convention a generation ago.

Ann Coulter goes farther, and questions both Huckabee’s intelligence and sincerity of his supposed religous convictions.

Hat Tip: Allah Pundit: Hot Air,

Huckabee is a liberal Arkansas politician, who would be a democrat, if the party was not anti-human life .

Addendum I:

Jim Geraghty, Nation Review, adds weight to Ann Coulter’s argument that Huckabee just isn’t all that smart. Huckebee has picked a fight with Rush Limbaugh:

“It’s elites who want to talk to Iran, not Middle America. It’s the elites who are soft on crime, not Middle America.”

You don’t claim to be running against the Washington elites and then pick a fight with the person who makes his living skewering the same elites.

Addendum II:

Should have checked first, but Michellle is all over the Huckup.

Addendum III: (Bit)

Stop the ACLU is also on the case, with a fairly decent reax roundup.

I said some time ago that it was not going to take a great deal to knock Huckabee of the top. The real trick here, was being patient enough to let him do it to himself.

Yeah, Huck should not be picking a fight with el Rushbo.

Not a very good idea.

Huckabee has surged because he won a couple of debates and he’s got evangelical support. If a quick rise can happen to the liberal pro-life evangelical Huckster, it can happen to the conservative pro-life evangelical Hunter.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

I would rather vote for a Democrat than that....more government involvment...amnesty pushing... foreign affairs ignorant...Bush bashing....high taxing....parole giving...credential lying.....preacher hick from Arkansas. That's about it (sure I missed something)

Minute Men of America
 Stand Up

I always thought your group stood against illegal immigration.  I also thought  the Minute Men wanted a permanent security fence along our southern border.  It is now clear to me that your leaders are either asleep or have given up on the cause.

"When I am president, I will build a fence."

Did you know .....Fred Thompson in a speech in Iowa on the 21st. of Dec. declared  "When I am president, I will build a fence."  He went further on to say...Amnesty and illegal immigration, he said, are not healthy for the U.S. or Mexico. "We need to be a nation of high fences and wide gates."

Is this not what we want?
Where are our leaders?
Why aren't there Minute Men  TV spots right now endorsing and supporting Fred Thompson?

If we fail to do so we may have a Democrat or a liberal Republican elected, who will then push an amnesty bill through congress.

Call your Minute Men Headquarters today and give them your opinion.

Hunter’s criticism of Thompson over this issue is well aimed. We need someone in the white house who isn’t a johnny-come-lately on this issue.
