Then we need to rotate states each election cycle. Something needs to be done so that same three states don’t get the “right” to select our candidate either.

Nothing has changed sine the first day I read the positions/records of each candidate - on that day I chose Hunter and nothing has swayed me since.
Since I’ll be voting first. I’ll be voting for Hunter.
If the conservatives in this country don’t wake up and he’s not the nominee - my hope is that it will be Romney and that he picks Hunter as his veep.
Honestly, I don’t Thompson has a chance. Thompson has had his day in the MSM spotlight and has been unable to move the numbers. Hunter has yet to have his day. I still think if Hunter got the kind of MSM focus of Thompson that his numbers actually would move - he’s true blue (or red as it were).
I will vote for Hunter if he's on the ballot in Pennsylvania - if not, then I'll vote Thompson.
I’ll support Duncan Hunter until he tells me to stop.
Now, this doesn't mean my “support” of Hunter is any less than that for Thompson. I’m just trying to look at the big picture, and not ignore the reality that my favorite candidate pulls single digits nationally.
What, before even a single vote has been cast? Not likely. Forget the polls. Let’s see what happens when people actually start casting meaningful votes.
Not I....just too busy to play smackdown whack-a-mole with the FRinos. None of the other candidates besides Hunter/Tancredo are serious about the border and deporting illegals. On this very issue, the others (media-annointed candidates) have proven time and time again to be unworthy of my vote.
No, the last poll was about who helped themselves the most in last nights debate. I voted for Fred because I honestly thought that he probably helped himself the most last night. That didn’t change the fact that I support Duncan Hunter - I was just being honest that Fred had had a really good night at the debate.

PHEW,,, that is what I was thinking as well.. but I still voted for Duncan Hunter even though I did not get a chance to see the debate, looking for some clips on YouTube to get caught up on the happenings on the campaign trail.. Hopefully FR will post another poll, just asking who FReepers are going to vote for in the PRIMARY.. and this time no leave out Duncan Hunter, as it is obvious to anyone reading all the threads that FReepers are generally split between FRed and Duncan at this point, and many of the FRed folks would switch to the Duncan Hunter camp IF he was polling better in the MSM.. that is my assessment thus far.. TOWARD VICTORY
I have to watch the debate before I can reply.
Nope. There is no one better. I certainly don’t have faith in any of the others! Hunter is the first, best choice in my book!

Well, since I’m pulling for (and always have been) Fred Thompson, I’d have to say you need to take me off this ping list.
The problem is that people don’t surprise us that often. They just do as the polls say they will.
David, the proper ‘ticket’ should be Thompson/Hunter or Hunter/Thompson. If they got together, they would win .................... FRegards
Can’t have the primaries all on the same date. You’d have the spector of the vote split 8 ways and deciding nothing — going to a brokered convention. At the convention, wheeling and dealing would win and not the people.
The current system allows for candidates to slowly be filtered out. The truth is that Iowa and New Hampshire aren’t huge populations. If someone can’t get an organization off the ground there, then they simply cannot organize. The size also means that you don’t have to be a gazillionaire.
One thing I noticed yesterday in the debate was the 2nd round of questions, they skipped obviously right past Hunter from the guy on his left to the guy on his right.
He didn’t utter a peep.
Later on, Keyes and Thompson both complained about different things.
I was disappointed that he didn’t stand up for his own presence. He could have a least scored a bit of recognition if he’d protested being passed over.
He’s my favorite in terms of conservatism, but he is only lukewarm in his fervor.
A very fair assessment my FRiend.. I know he has the ability to be aggressive, I think he chooses not to be... might think it a bit "rude".. when he is given the stage he SHINES.. but I think he needs to assert himself a LOT more to DEMAND the stage.. this will get the attention of the folks who are "UNDECIDED".. which in turn will draw more folks into his camp... Just my 2 cents worth..
I’ve been trying to remember the question that Duncan allowed to be passed by him. I remember being so disappointed that he didn’t protest, because it was one of his issues, I think.
Does anyone remember? Wasn’t it a jobs or defense question?
I should remember, but I was so busy shaking my head and asking myself why he hadn’t insisted on responding.
