I rec’d a letter from Mrs. Clara Quaicoe, the manager of bills and exchange at the foreign remittance department of Caixa Catalunya Bank in Barcelona Spain.A gentleman who shares my surname was killed along with his entire family in a ghastly motor accident. She assures me “this transaction is a hitch free” and that I “should not entertain any atom of fear”. It came via snail mail so it’s got to be legit right?

It is so flattering to be so popular and have so many friends who have so much to give, or others who have so clearly communicated with my friends as to know and like me so well.
But, due to my own spartan life-style and my desire to simply earn my own way...I have had to turn them all down. They have repeatedly asked me to reconsider...all to no avail.
