Dear Friends and Family,
I am on the march to reclaim the Republican Party and true conservatism. I am calling on all of you to STOP the compromising, step out in faith and vote for principles. Dr. Dobson has set an example that in my opinion is long over due. Why is it that we seem to always need someone to step out first? I can tell you with all confidence that Giuliani, McCain, Paul and Huckabee are NOT true/genuine conservatives. Giuliani is just a liberal dressed up to look Conservative, McCain always says one thing and votes the opposite. I know, I live in his district. Paul continues to say outrageous and bizarre things and Huckabee is not solid on immigration, the war and when asked straight forward "Would you have signed the schip bill?" he would NOT give a straight answer! I shouldn't leave out at least one observation of Romney, he leans toward socialized health care.
Have you noticed this election is being driven by wealthy r i n o (republican in name only) conservatives, Progressives and both conservative AND liberal media? We must stop accepting the lesser of two evils. Stop sitting back and taking what these people are doing to our country/party, and stop swallowing the compromises they want to cram down our throats. We don't need to go along with this or to jump party. What we need to do is draw the line, take a stand and stop letting them run our future. We must follow our conservative convictions. If we don't, I can tell you this with all confidence that conservatism will become irrelevant. We will be expected to embrace the European way. NO MORE TOLERANCE. Speaking of Europe, they are seeing the errors of their ways and beginning to come out of it. Did you hear French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Washington today? ( look it up on fox) He received nine standing ovations. He reached out to America to restore and reunite our relationship and showed great sympathy and appreciation for the sacrifices Americans have made for France.
I want to turn the light on to Congressman Duncan Hunter. It is my belief that the powers that be ignore him because he closely resembles a Reagan Conservative. He is NOT in the pocket of any one, which was one of Reagan's strengths. Congressman Hunter is RIGHT on securing the borders, saving American jobs, winning the war on terror, defending the traditional American family and protecting the unborn. CONGRESSMAN DUNCAN HUNTER IS THE TRUE CONSERVATIVE! If we join together as real Americans to fight for what is right we can smack-down those powers that be and take back the Republican party. Remember, it only takes a spark. Lets burn with passion for true conservatism, for the sake of our children and grandchildren and FREEDOM!

I got the email too, and the only list I’m on that could have been pinged is “Stop Rudy”. For the record, I’m pro-Hunter, fair-to-middlin’ Fred, hold-my-nose Mitt, If-I-hafta-jeez-Louise McCain, and take-a-bath-in-Lysol-and-weep-pitieously-for-our-country-after-I-vote Rooty.
Regardless, I think pissant should be able to come back. If pissant didn’t send the annoying/troubling Mail, then what is his crime, exactly?

I think everyone on the Fred and Hunter ping lists was spammed. Check the last 100 or so posts on this thread for more details.
The mods were upset that he posted a Ramesh Ponnuru article from National Review which criticised all of the top four candidates - Including Fred - for flipflopping. Apperantly even posting National Review Articles is no longer safe if they dare to criticise the Golden Boy (Fred Thompson).

I don’t see any reason to change my view on Romney. A person can say whatever they want, but that doesn’t mean they are what they say....especially when it’s only a matter of a few years when he spoke differently. For some reason I just have to have faith in him?
But Rudy’s on the top of my ‘sh*^’ list,...for obvious reasons.

Just to go on the record with everyone else, I don’t appreciate it one bit, whoever was behind it.
I received it twice, actually, but that’s beside the point. The real problem is that I interrupted what I was doing to try and figure out what the message was telling me to do, why it was telling me to do it, and whether I had done something wrong. Then it directed me to a thread (this one) and I still didn’t know what the heck I was supposed to be looking for.
A brighter person would have ignored it altogether, I suppose, but no one ever accused me of being a genius. What an annoying way to start my day.

There may have been some FReepmail that we have no knowledge of, but publicly I see nothing to merit his banning or suspension.
After a review of the thread, I think everyone got the FR-mail.
I'm also pro-Hunter, I wish Tancredo had gotten at least a sniff of coverage by now, but I'm pro-Tancredo as well.
As far as the others, I'll vote for whoever gets the nomination in the general, defeating Edwards, the Bad and the Ugly is paramount in this election. I'm about as pro Fred as I am pro Mitt, which is about average, and I'm more in favor of Rudy than McCain. Rudy will at least appoint originalists to the SCOTUS. McCain has made too many backroom deals with dems in Congress to be saved in my mind. Sorry, lie with dogs keep your fleas to yourself McCain.

He’s got my vote. I made that decision the day he announced. If any good came out the San Diego fires (and I say that as one of those evacuated), it gave the country a chance to see a real leader in action. He was so good Boxer had to drop in and try to steal some of his thunder.
What they did (or he/she/it did) was use FREEP MAIL as SPAM -- send the same FREEP MAIL to as many FREEPERS/LURKERS as possible.
Hillary da Queen Clinton or Howard da Mouth Dean might be behind this.
If this happened on the DUmmies site, they would be hollering to Nancy Pelosi to spend $10 Billion on an investigation and stop all work in Congress for at least 6 months.
But this can't happen on the DUmmies network as their technology is about 10 years behind Freerepublic software. Maybe they should farm out software programming of the DUmmies site to their allies the Chinese and Russians...
Please realize that there both lots and lots of humor and satire intended in this post...
