In my humble opinion, we American Conservatives missed the boat, a few years back, when we did not rally behind Dan Quale's attack on a serialized TV program for promoting the idea of deliberate bastardization of children. While any girl can make a mistake, the deliberate victimization of a baby by such behavior, at conception, should not be treated as socially acceptable. The very notion is part and parcel of the broad based onslaught against Western norms, embraced by various Leftist ideologues.

I agree totally.

Conservatives let the Left shut us up with the highly successful “Archie Bunker” strategy of making us out to be narrow minded, self righteous bigots when we stood up for traditional values and morality.

I watched the video and I have to agree with Glen Sacks that the women on the panel made their choice to have an un-fathered for completely selfish motives (The Selfish Gene?).

How can we condemn women who chose to have and raise children on their own and not at the same time condemn men who divorce their wives and leave their children to be raised by them alone or practically alone? A large percentage of our families today are women raising their children on their own anyway, these women are just cutting the failed marriage out of the mix. The problem goes much deeper than merely condemning Murphey Brown or the people on the TV panel. The problem began when we as a society decided that marriage and the responsibilities that go with it are temporary. When ‘till death do us part’ was replaced with ‘until someone better comes along’. Until we no longer accept divorce as a good thing or an acceptable thing then condemning these wome is hypocritical.
