WOW! What an wild 24 non-business hours it has been! The Leftwing Blogosphere has ERUPTED in a wild firestorm of obsession about even the fact that the DUmmie FUnnies is a finalist in the 2007 Weblog Awards (vote for the DUmmie FUnnies as FUnniest Blog by clicking HERE). For starters, Head DUmmie Skinner has allowed not just ONE but TWO threads obsessing over the DUmmie FUnnies to go up on the DUmmie "Greatest Page." This is an historical first. Previously you could count the deletion in seconds of any thread/post in DUmmieland mentioning the DUmmie FUnnies in any way whatever. In addition, the leftwing anti-religion (except for Muslims) Sadly No! dedicated two threads to the DUFUs overnight. Throughout the leftwing blogosphere was even more obsession with the DUFUs. Finally just to get an idea of their obsession with the DUFUs, take a look at this Weblog Awards Forum THREAD titled, "You have a hate site nominated as 'Funniest'" which currently runs 10 pages long. If you mock the DUmmies via the EVIL method of exposing their own words using Copy & Paste you're labeled a "Hate Site." They are even equating the DUmmie FUnnies with StormFront. I kid you not. So let us now look at the first of the DUmmie threads where the DUmmies are obsessing in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, thanking the Leftwing Loons for all the free publicity, is in the [brackets]:

That idiot over at FR that does the incredibly unfunny DUmmie FUnnies, (notice the capitalization of DU with FU) is up for some kind of funniest blog award. His main challenger is the Sadly Not blog who apparently isn't even campaigning like this idiot at FR is. The FR fool has been constantly spamming everything he can find to win.

[We can't let him win. So let us defeat ourselves another way by giving the DUmmie FUnnies bigtime exposure by obsessing over it like loons!]

The ironic thing here is that all the hoopla stirred up by the DUmmies overplaying their hand might spark the curiousity of some investigative reporter out there to investigate that Andy fundraiser. Note that the DUmmies screaming loudest in mock outrage are the same ones involved in that fundraiser that had NO accountability. So their efforts might be very counterproductive if it leads to discovering what exactly was going on with that fundraiser. Does anybody know of such a reporter? Now that the DUmmies are making such a big deal of this on the Web, it is a newsworthy effort.

Just voted PJ, I am so sorry to see what has happened. Typical of the Left though, they seem to believe the only freedom of speech is their right to spill their venom and to shout down any fact that contradicts it. But look at it this way, aside from the massive amounts of publicity the DummyFunnies got out of this, your blog has never really been funny. I don't mean that as an insult, your and Charles' wit makes reading what is really in the minds of the Left tolerable, but the underlying reality of the source is anything but funny.

The edition that I think about every day appeared some time ago, I don't remember the title but it was a Marine who had just returned home from Iraq and wanted to share his inside knowledge and experiences in Anbar and Fallujah. They called him stupid, brainwashed, a liar, accused him of not being who he said he was, it was just horrific. Every time I see a young soldier or Marine I keep thinking about how they literally spit on this poor kid via the internet and his only "crime" was serving his country and telling the truth about what he had seen with his own eyes and then offering to share his experience with people he though he had something in common with.

It kills me to know that young hero returned to the people he sacrificed for and placed his life in jeopardy for and they treated him worse than the people who he worried might actually try to kill him and the memory of how his "fellow Americans" treated him will remain with him forever. I can only hope that he came across many more people like FReepers who let him know how grateful we are and how much we appreciate and honor him for his service; then hopefully, his experience on the DU will just be a small footnote in his memory.

It's these same people who are pulling the strings of  Murtha, Reid, Pelosi, Kennedy, and the rest of the Democrat Party. Hopefully, DUFU will become daily reading for thousands of more people and then the festering, pus filled, diseased pock that is the Democrat Party that is growing on America will become apparent to all the Americans, who have had the tendency to ignore the loons, and we will finally cut them away and no longer allow them to influence public policy. Then we will take our country back.

In the meantime, I'll keep voting, at least you'll have the satisfaction of knowing your numbers are real and you have made a real impact.

While you have the extra publicity, you should find some new killer stupid thread over at the DUmp and do the cut and paste. It’s obvious that the DUmmies are still trying to rewrite history. I saw the venom they are spewing at the blog award forum, and the whole soap opera is not worth your time. The vote would be easy to skew by people that don’t have static ip’s, so why worry about that. I think the thing that is important is all the legit votes that you have garnered, showing the support that you have around here with the sane people.
