Sorry Saundra, but the more I listen to Romney and Gulianni the more disallutioned I get. I’m sick of borth of them and I still have a half a year of this crap! Stop panicing! This whole thing started way too early! Honestly I don’t know what people are looking from a candidate! None of the candidates on either side light a spark in anyone! The people who are looking for glitter over substance are in for a huge let down on both parties, cuz none of them have it! Fred positions on subjects are out on the web. The last 2 debates he was in he did pretty good and held his own! He is the kind of man like your dad. Didn’t have to say much, but when he did, look out!

Romney got his act together a long time ago and is working it every day, focused. He has never disappointed us.

I assume by "us" you mean a lot of moderates with liberal tendencies, right?

Or is "us" those who have bought his 11th hour conversion to Conservatism, that has some how conveniently coalesced and become solid since around the time he was looking out the windows in the Governor's office and though "Hey, I want to run for president".

I am just trying to get the roster stright.

The following is a true eye-witness account, although some names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Names have been changed? Hmmm, how very convenient.

Maybe I should claim to be an ex-MittWitt and write some similar hit piece about Multiple-Choice-Mitt. After all, if it gets published it MUST be true.

If I want the opinion of Anonymous I'll look on /b/.

Look EJ, he was FOR raising taxes...
before he was against it!

He was FOR gun control...
before he was against it!

He was FOR gay marriage...
before he was against it!

He was FOR abortion "rights"...
before he was against them!

Wait a minute, this all sounds very familiar...I seem to recall another Massachusetts politician who was for things before he was against them. Must be something in the water up there!

flipetty-floppety...

“I hope people will read the entire article. Thank you for posting it.”

I did read the whole article, I thought it was good. It backs up my misgivings about Thompson.

MAJOR-league barfbag alert. Come back to reality, Saundra. It’s Fred or it’s nobody.

Saundra Duffy wrote: “Even some of Thompson’s own staff have turned against him. Don’t you want to stop and wonder why this is happening?”

Even more troubling than Thompson’s staff turnover is the fact that some of Romney’s own team (Larry “Washroom” Craig, Jay “Trooper” Garrity and Alan “Mail Fraud, Money Laundering, Bankruptcy Fraud, Perjury and Obstruction of Justice” Fabian have resigned because they are being investigated, are facing charges or made complete fools out of themselves. Don’t you want to stop and wonder why this is happening?

Then there was the Thompson smear site linked to top Romney advisor Warren Tompkins...

One or two of these incidents, maybe no problem. But all four? This indicates a lack of good judgement on Romney’s part.

Exactly, and who’s fault is that?

Actually it's to his credit.

I wonder how many wannabe advisers wrote e-mails to Fred telling him how he ought to announce. If it were possible to do what they all told him, he would probably win the nomination by acclamation. ;0)

“The gist of the memo was this: Fred should announce his candidacy in a stadium sized event on July 4th. The target crowd size should be 20,000 plus. My assessment was this, in a crowded Republican field, no candidate has yet demonstrated the force of numbers that even Barack Obama demonstrated on his announcement day. An announcement event underlined with the force of numbers, would blow out all the second and third tier candidates, and erode the weak support of Giuliani, McCain, and Romney.”

Had Fred done this, we’d be already discussing how Thompson will take down Hillary. The letdown of his campaign is palpable.
