When Fred Thompson began to drop hints to the nation that he was considering a run for the White House, I, like many others across the nation, felt interested and enlivened by his potential candidacy. I listened to his radio broadcasts, I followed his opinion writings on the Internet. I liked his sober, southern gentleman style, and I appreciated his unwavering ....

Looks like the gist of the story is that the author, a self-described amateur political analyst, sent a suggestion to the Thompson campaign, and it was ignored. The rest is just whining.

Sorry buddy, but a host of savvy political pros have made the same observation based on personal contact. And left.

Ranger is very impressed with himself and doesn't take kindly to those who are not.

“Who?”

You notice, you didn’t get an answer.

Because there isn’t one.

You make a good point. Mission does keep talking about being a politico, having the contacts and being above our “pay grade”.

Maybe he is looking for a job at the well heeled Romney camp...

Or come to think of it...

Maybe...

Just maybe...

Nah, what am I thinking, they wouldn’t do that!

That’s dishonest, it be like making a fake web site or flashing phony badges or something.

Sound like a simple disagreement in style, that's all...

Right?

Exactly, and who’s fault is that?

JFK didn't annonuce until Jan of 1960. Its your fault for thinking that theres some "rule" when one must announce!

“He has only been in the race over a month and a half!!”

Exactly, and who’s fault is that?

And historically it is meaningless. The man is number two are better in the national polls and he hasn't spent squat. Mittwitt has spent 50million and is in fourth place. Get a grip!

One of the biggest gripes about Fred T is that he snoozed while the other serious candidates debated and stumped and worked and sacrificed.

I ask again: Who’s fault is it that some people became disenchanted with Fred?

“. . . until then Thompson and all the candidates have got to get their acts together in order to win the nonimation.”

Last I heard, Thompson is still trying to get his act together. Too little, too late.

Romney got his act together a long time ago and is working it every day, focused. He has never disappointed us.

It’s not a barf bag at all. It’s the sweet smell of success. I liked the part about Ann’s introduction for her husband. Very sweet.

“What a load of krap”

You obviously did not read the article; heart-felt first-hand observations. The person is sincere, was a Thompson supporter, who became discouraged and disheartened by his candidate.

Even some of Thompson’s own staff have turned against him. Don’t you want to stop and wonder why this is happening?

Fred’s strength has been running a non-traditional campaign, so those complaining he’s not being traditional are of little concern right now. Seems like most of the candidates are stomping around in golf shoes, trying real hard to step on it.

Yep it’s Romney’s money and his to lose...... Shame he can’t out poll that other northeastern liberal fellar named Giuliani..... We’ll see in very short order as the come to Jesus moment is fast approaching for the wannabes...

70 days and counting....
