The Chinese government has proposed to divide up the Pacific Ocean into U.S. and Chinese spheres of influence. The Chinese proposal would have yielded a Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere to China while allowing the U.S. to dominate in the portion of the Pacific between Hawaii and California. Chinese officials said they got the idea from some papers they found in an old filing cabinet.

Gosh, can they do that?
Oops, #3 was for you. It has been single-handedly done before, lol!
Sorry China, the waters belong to us. The moon too.
They must have been reading my posts here on FR from many years ago when I first warned that China wants the western Pacific with Australia as its first major prize. Indonesia, despite its huge army, is already in China’s pocket thanks to Islam’s destructive power.
no, no... we get the western Pacific and they can have Hawaii and California.... should be the counter offer.
And we’ll toss in the sky at no extra charge.
China, I wouldn’t trust you with half the pacific. Your ships have lead paint and it will destroy the sea life.
Different day, same old sh*t.
I see two main problems. The surfing is too good to give up Australia and there is NO WAY they get to block access to Tokyo Disney Land. On the other hand this would mean North Korea is all their problem so maybe its worth talking.
Some people are going to be fooled by this thread. Rather than be upset at being duped, they should investigate the REAL history of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. Whenever some agenda-driven nincompoop like the late Harry Browne makes noise about how the United States “provoked” the Empire of Japan into bombing Pearl Harbor, they’ll be able to cite evidence they’re full of it.
Vladimir Putin.
Paging Vladimir Putin...
Please pick up the ship’s phone.
How ‘bout the Chinese shut their pieholes or we’ll let the Japanese kick their asses....again.
Chinese officials said they got the idea from some papers they found in an old filing cabinet.Ironically, the old filing cabinet had a tag, "made in Japan". How come you never pinged me to this fascinating topic? ;') ;') ;')
Let China spend 500 billion dollars on a navy to match ours, then they can speak of what influence they feel themselves entitled to.
Compared to you, I am a ping slacker. Glad you found it. :)
