.............. AND ....
.........
So there I was.... wondering what the "ideal" ticket would look like in the '08 Presidential race..
As many of you know from previous posts I was looking for a Duncan Hunter / Fred Thompson ticket.
I later scratched Fred Thompson off my "dream team" list for reasons discussed in other threads, and have been "searching" for someone to put in the VP slot of my "wish list".
Well Sarah Palin's name came up in a recent discussion, and I can't believe that I never thought about her as VP material before --- but after further considetation I am seriously thinking I might I have finally found my DREAM TEAM TICKET.
Looking for some FReeper input on this idea......
Thanks !! and here is a link..
Official BIO for Gov. Sarah Palin (Alaska)
BTTT -— for a post I made 1 YEAR AGO !!
Just when I thought I would NEVER be excited about the presidential race — I am starting to think there is some hope here.....
Things that make you go HMMMMM
David
That would have certainly been a worthy and winning ticket.
Just hope that Palin has some success at taming the raging RINO.
A humble tip of the Drill chapeau. You nailed that one. BTT.
:)
Hunter is not going to get the nomination. And who the hell is Sarah Palin?
To all the folks who said Hunter could not win because of “Name Recognition” -— Does anyone think that there is a single person in the WORLD who does not know, or has not heard the name Sarah Palin in the last 8 hrs??
Lets not forget that Duncan Hunter is the man who invited Hillary Clinton to send more democrat ringers to ask tough questions in the debates. All others whined about how unfair it was.
Funny that David found this old thread.
As you can see, I’m consistent:

How many had heard of Obama?
The media makes the name. They dropped the footbal and made the elections a circus.
Hum along with this. And get back to work; we need a catchy campaign jingle.
She's the one with the hat.

I would be interested in his comments about today's news...
You happen to notice that during the Dem Convention that they were kind of short on the blue and white balloons?
yes, I would be too.. I have not heared a public statement from Duncan Hunter yet, but I expect we may get one soon..
FReegards,
David
I agree, p. I’m not politically correct.
back to work??? —— While I am likely to vote for McCain/Palin in November I am still not ready to “work” for this ticket.. although I am far more likely to now..
FReegards,
David
Conservatives are desperate for some sign from McCain that he would not destroy conservatism in the GOP. Palin, in that sense was a good pick, politically. CIC material? Not even close at this point. Then again, Obama/Biden is a flipping insult to our warriors.
I’m writing in Hunter. If I have room, Ollie North as VP.
lol.. I understand your frustration.. I share it.. I am still VERY disapointed that we ended up with McCain at the top of the ticket.. but it is what it is... I won’t be campaigning for this ticket.. but at least I won’t need as big of a nose clip in November...
Howdy Captain. Yes, I know Mccain too well for me support him. A Hunter (or similar) VP pick could have swayed me, but it was never to be. That is not to say I support him losing to a marxist. I don’t. I will help the GOP expose the radical, air headed magic negro for the quisling that he is. So I can say, truthfully, that I’m allied with the GOP in that endeavor. However, my concentration going forward beyond 2008 will be with the FALCON party.
Nibbling around the edges to weed out earmarks and ‘streamline’ government is not the solution. The solution is wholesale changes in the size in scope of the federal gov’t, eliminating well over 1/2 of what it does, and strenghtening the things it is supposed to do.
Nevertheless, at least McCain/Palin may keep the bus from going over the cliff in the meantime, and at least stand up to the islamists.
