The most interesting thing to me is his growing popularity with younger voters. He isn’t trying to pretend to be one of them and I think they appreciate his maturity. The real reason appears to be the message that he’s consistently proposed.
I saw Frank Luntz on the news the other day with a group of voters. When Luntz asked the youngest member of the group (a 22 year old male) what was important to him, the voter ran down a list that fit Hunter to a tee.
