Contraceptive Poison (Contraceptives poisoning water supply)
RightBias News ^ | July 31, 2007 | Colin Mason

The environmental story of the year has come out, but the “inconvenient truth”—to borrow a phrase from Al Gore--seems to be more than most environmentalists can handle.

In 2005 biologists John Woodling and David Norris carried out a study of fish in Colorado’s Boulder Creek. What they found was highly disturbing. As reported in the pages of the Denver Post, out of 123 randomly captured fish, primarily trout, the normal 1:1 male-female balance was seriously disrupted. 101 of the fish found were female, 12 were male, and 10 were a strange, unnatural hybrid of male and female, so much so that the researchers couldn’t decide which sex to assign to them

“It’s the first thing that I’ve seen as a scientist that really scared me,” Woodling told the Denver Post in 2005. "It's one thing to kill a river. It's another thing to kill nature. If you're messing with the hormonal balance in your aquatic community, you're going deep down. You're twiddling with how life proceeds."

This is probably already affecting the health of people. It will only get worse.

Does this also place the fish at higher risk for breast cancer?

Most radical environmentalists are pro-abortion and espouse population control.

I too espouse population control(though not through abortion of course), among liberals and islamo-fascists

Mandrake, have you never wondered why I drink only distilled water, or rain water, and only pure grain alcohol?

Interesting article. I’d like to add that our neice, who discovered she was going deaf in college and wearing 2 hearing aids the last time I saw her, reports that her hearing is recovered and normal without any artificial auditory “help” since she stopped taking birth control pills. (She just recently had their first baby).

I don’t know what to make of it. Now this!

I just remember the ads they ran on TV in the 1970s about some brand of margarine...”It’s not NICE to mess with mother nature...”

Given the amount of scientific knowledge there is about steroidal compounds, one would think a little research would turn up a catalyst or other chemical that could be added to the water treatment plants to react with and break down the estrogen. Maybe BALCO could get on the case.

This problem needs more publicity, but to the irrational liberal mind even acknowledging there is a problem conjures up images of the sex police coming to take away everyone’s birth control pills.

In a related story, the incidence of man boob formation in fishes has risen markedly.

These chemicals are collectively termed “endrocrine disrupters” and are primarilly used hormones and other prescription drugs that pass through wastewater treatment plants largely unscathed. A research project has shown that ozone treatment of the wwtp effluent is very effective in destroying these compounds, which is good for me since I build large ozone systems for a living.

So why aren't treatment plants installing ozonation facilities? How costly is ozonation? Have the EPA and state agencies approved the process?

Or is it the case that the solution is available, but because the MSM has been ignoring the problem, there is no public pressure on the authorities to deal with the problem?

I never thought of that. Maybe the feminists have found a way to calm down little boys who refuse to take ritalin:)
