John Edwards has downplayed the terrorist threat by stating that the global war on terrorism is nothing but a bumper sticker slogan. In fact, it is very important to Leftwingers that the fiction be preserved that there is no real threat of Islamo-Fascist terrorism. Ask a typical leftwinger who is more of a terrorist threat; an Islamic fundamentalist or your average Southern Baptist and he would either answer the latter or (if trying to pretend to be sane) be unable to answer the question. Therefore it is no surprise at all that the DUmmies are in an uproar over some PSA ad during a TV show in which parents are encouraged to talk to their kids about terrorist attacks as you can see in this THREAD titled, "Oh my f*cking gawd, the motherf*ckers!!!!" Yes, how DARE they suggest you should talk to your own children about terrorism especially since the REAL terrorists are the EVIL Bush regime who plotted and carried out the 9/11 attacks. So let us now watch the DUmmies once again leap off the edge of sanity in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that John Edwards considers a Republican neighbor to be more of a threat than Osama bin Laden, is in the [brackets]:
Oh my f*cking gawd, the motherf*ckers!!!!
[What happened? Did someone threaten us with nuclear detruction or, even worse, cut off your pizza supply line?]
I just saw an ad on ABC Family - you know, the ones where you need to talk to your kids about smoking, drugs, drinking, abstinence...but it was talking to your kids about terrorist attacks!
[Better warn them about the DUmmies as well.]
I just caught the end. Looked up and saw little kids with big eyes - the narrator asking parents, "What will you do to protect your children....? How will you keep them safe?" They gave a .gov address to get suggestions for "making a plan".
[What will you do to protect your DUmmies from reality?]
And there was the big Homeland Security Sig at the end.
This is soooo f*cked up.
[GASP! Imagine Homeland Security being concerned about the security of children especially since we know it is really a Gestapo type operation intent on sending all us good progressives to Wal-Mart detention camps. And now for some more outrage from the rest of the DUmmies...]
Duck and cover!
[DUmmie and cover...your brain.]
Insanely EVIL... Talking about terror attacks with your kids-
[The horror. The HORROR!]
More important to talk to your kids about who is behind pushing terror and these "talk" promos. The powers that be are completely out of control. Can I get a witness?
[Norman Bates can back you up as a witness.]
Nothing like using children when the adults stop buying the lie.
[Nothing like using children as suicide bombers but to DUmmies that is only a rightwing myth.]
"They want to kill your CHILDREN, David ... " Right from the mouth of the beast, the most filthy kind of fear-mongering.
[How dare they! We all know Al Qaeda is merely a benign organization concerned only with helping the needy.]
I think it's www.ready.gov. I've seen that commercial too. Let's make sure the little ones are good and scared!
[Meanwhile in schools all over the country, leftwing teachers have no problem scaring children about the Beast---the EVIL Bush Regime.]
From the kid's fun page - 'Terrorism is the use of threat or violence to scare governments into changing their policies. A terrorist can be an individual or a member of an organization. The attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, are examples of acts of terrorism.
The word "terrorism" first appeared in France (terrorisme) in 1795.
Talk to your parents or teachers if you have questions about this type of emergency.'
Unbelievable!
[Unbelievable! How dare they suggest it was foreign terrorists who attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on 9/11 when we all know it was just a government plot to recreate the Reichstag fire.]
You may note they call it 'The Homeland'. Remind you of anything?
[Yeah. Homeland Security cameras. I'm marketing them. You get a 6" monitor plus TWO infrared cameras for only 25 bucks. May I take your order?]
What gives Chertoff the right to tell the country that he has a gut feeling that were going to be hit with a terrorist attack this summer?
[Um... Maybe because he is the director of Homeland Security?]
This - is child abuse - not protection. Of course, I was pretty young during the drop and duck days - so maybe it was abuse then as well.
[You seem to leaving a lot of DUck drops nowadays as well.]
It's all pretty bad but this one is criminal. F*ck these dirt bags for messing with my kids.
[And I bet this DUmmie would have absolutely NO problem with a leftwing teacher instructing his kids about the clinical details of gay sex or instilling paranoia in them about the EVIL Bush Regime.]
Bush = Stalin. If you're talking terms of insane propaganda, that is.
[DUmmie = NUts.]
it is all about control, something that comes out of Goebbels handbook, keep the masses in fear, f*ck that and f*ck them. And damn them for using ourchildren for their propaganda.
[So you would have no problem with stopping the daily leftwing propaganda that children are subjected to in public schools?]
Like I said before. Terrorism is not a f*cking threat to me. If you look at the damage they have done to our country (not phsycological - just strictly material) it's miniscule. It's all in people's heads. If a f*cking asshole decides to drive a car into airport to unsuccessfully blow it up once every three years, and burns himself in the process, why should that be the main reason for structuring our foreign policy? this is so stupid
[Is that you, Pink Sapphire?]
Using the oldest play in the book. religion does it nonstop to kids.
[Except for the Islamic religion. You need to clarify that.]
Yet another reason to turn of the TV permanently. We still have a TV, but it's hardly ever on. Kids can't get subjected to propaganda, whether it's from the government or just fast food or cola companies, if the TV is off. I agree this is evil. But for once, you have the power to make it go away. Turn off the TV. Permanently.
[It is important to shelter your children from reality so they can grow up to become DUmmies.]
We all know this fearmongering is bullshit....
[Just like 9/11. BS.]
They have started ramping up the fear again. I shudder to think what they are planning.
[Shipping you off to Wal-Mart Detention Camps of course.]
It’s always funny that they consider terrorist threats (which are real) as “fear mongering” but telling everyone to hate and fear Republicans is justified.
We are headed for another 911 with these people in power.
Have to wonder how liberals have survived, the way they coddle the scum and are clueless about real threats...reminds me of cockroaches. Wonder if liberals will live through a nuclear bomb?...with these nuts in charge we might find out. sigh.
DUmmies consider Wal-Mart to be a greater threat than Al-Qaeda.
Think of that school in Boulder, CO.
To them, it'll be Bush's fault just as everything else is. Their minds (I use the term sarcastically) are closed to reality.
Hey, PJ, how’s it going with the new townhouse? Did you get the furniture situation settled yet?
“We all know this fearmongering is bullshit....”
Unless of course it is being done by ALGore or MMoore!
I'm leaving the furniture stuff to my wife. She wants to leave almost all our old furniture behind and get new furniture. The only decision I will have in decorating new townhouse will be selection of pictures on the wall. My wife normally has good taste but once, a couple of years ago, I came home to be confronted with the most tacky paintings imaginable on the wall. They looked like stuff sold at the gas stations. I'm not an art snob but even I have my limits.
I wouldn't mind a giant pic of Li'l Beaver on the wall. Okay a bit tacky but FUn!
BTW, for Freepers in South Florida-—NOW is the time to buy a home. Prices have dropped a lot in the past year and I don’t think they will drop much further before they start rising again. Better to buy a home when the Bell curve of prices are still falling slowly than to wait until it quickly RISES from rock bottom on the other side of the curve. At that point you are competing with way too many buyers who want in on the deals before it is too late.
What? You want a picture of Bobby Blake on the wall?????
Oh, that's right, OUR Li'l Beaver.
It's the opposite in our house. I do the decorating. I'm good at color matches and such. It comes from my 25 years in printing. The wife lets me run amok.
I’ll bet my relatives in Punta Gorda and Coral Springs love that. My cousin in Punta Gorda especially since she’s elderly and on her own in a townhouse. She’s talked about selling in the past year. I doubt she feels the same now. Her son in Coral Springs is doing well so can handle it.
I’ll be seeing them up here in a few weeks so I’ll see how property values have hit them.
Top 35! Who’s da man?
You know, I've never been prudish about swear words, but doesn't this just say it all? No matter what the subject of the thread is, doesn't the fact that they'd give a thread that title just say it all about them?
Yeah, it reminds me of how during the Carter, Reagan, Bush and Clinton administrations we described the national space of the U.S. as the American homeland." Heck, I remember a lib using the term in an article in Atlantic Monthly back in '88 or '89 that was attacking the Reagan-Bush reliance on tactical nukes in Europe. He said such weapons would never be used because escalation to a strike on "the American homeland" was far more horrible to contemplate than a communist-dominated Europe.
What's that, DUmmie? You say you were talking about Nazi germany when you asked that rhetorical question? Oh well, then maybe you should read a book or something. The Nazis called it "The Fatherland."
Um...I'm just spitballing, but I think it's called "The First Amendment."
Kudos to you PJ!
You’ve picked a gem of a DUmmie thread to highlight. Of the things that pose potential to likely threats to our lives today, Dhimmis choose to ignore the greatest (global terrorism) in favor of the least (natural shifts in the climate).
So where do we go from here with the ever-widening gap in perspectives?
You betcha and it will be a lot worse
