More rain this week in South Florida! FANTASTIC! It's great how the heat of the day is completely relieved by the rain. Of course, I plan to sit outside and enjoy it all. Just sitttting in the rain!
Let me know if you want on the DUmmie FUnnies PING List.

That DUmmie needs a trip through the car wash to cool down. I get subjected to leftist orthodoxy all the time in LA, but I don’t complain to the management. (Maybe I would if it were a government building being used to promote a distinctly political cause, but ... a private car wash?)

Needless to say, I voiced my opinion on the matter to the management. Told them that I was not at a sporting event, funeral, union meeting, blah blah and asked him when Wagner was scheduled. Told them that the National Anthem blasting at the car dealership was nationalistic and a bit over the top and creepy. What do you think?
I think I would have kicked him/her/it off my car lot.

I’ll go out of my way to dump a full soda on anyone that doesn’t stand for the National Anthem.

Boy DUmmie you got that right!! Only YOU and your fellow lefties are the very ones taking it there. But you are too selfish and narcissistic to see it.

Wonder which car wash in Houston played the National Anthem? I’d trade there. Mine doesn’t play any music at all as I can remember.
(surely this was posted by a freeper just wanting to make the DUmmies look bad, donch think?)

Was at the car place getting the car serviced Oil changes are bad for the environment, DUmmie. Boycott oil changes and you'll never have this problem again.

Felt like I was in some natzi camp getting ready for the showers. Needless to say, I voiced my opinion on the matter to the management. Told them that I was not at a sporting event, funeral, union meeting, blah blah and asked him when Wagner was scheduled.Their hate is blaring. A few years ago you could say, "I know he wasn't raised that way". Unfortunately nowadays, he probably was.

Is Houston the only place that has replaced "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" with "God Bless America" (at least the last time I was at a game)? No. It's now done throughout MLB after 9/11. Ironically, it's even played in SF during Giants games.

It wasn't a car wash on a military base, was it? You get treated to the tune twice a day, when the flag goes up, and when it comes down--they DO give you a warning, though, so you can run for cover and not get stuck standing and saluting in a parking lot halfway to your car.... Saluting? Please tell me this DUmmie isn't a military member.
This DUmmie would really hate Okinawa. There we had to stand at attention through our national anthem, the Japanese national anthem, and the Marine Corps Hymn.
And we LOVED it!

We are headed down the slippery slope. I have a feeling that in the coming years, Americans are going to wish they had paid closer attention in History. Indeed. If history has taught us anything that playing the National Anthem in towns across America leads to parades, town festivals, even...fireworks displays. You play the National Anthem today, and where does it end? Drinking lemonade on the porch and waving to passers-by?
The horror!

I'm tired of war-mongering, and that song is a celebration of a moment in war. It's a celebration of a moment of victory through great sacrifice. The DUmmies would just love the National Anthem if it were a song about the fall of Saigon.

I wish more people truly understood the difference between patriotism and nationalism. Or jingoism. I sure wish more DUmmies understood the difference.

I could do without it there too, but then I don't go to sporting events So even though you'll never hear it at a sporting event, you don't want it played because you know there's always some sporting event somewhere, and you can't even stand knowing that it's being played.

There are lots of countries that don't play the national anthem.
Pack up and move to one of them.
To: PJ-Comix
I wouldn't stand, as it is not our national anthem. Obviously, you miss the point of the seventh inning stretch. They weren't standing because "God Bless America" was playing, they were standing to prevent blood clots from forming in their femoral arteries.
So my advice to this DUmmie, as it was to the OP when I said boycott oil changes, is boycott standing up and stretching.
