..Perhaps the most interesting aspect of his remarks centered around trade. Hunter is a strong opponent of free trade deals like CAFTA and NAFTA and talked about the trade inequities that accompany these bills and how American companies and thereby workers are getting shafted...

John Hawkins: Would you like to see Roe v. Wade overturned?

Duncan Hunter: Yes. You know, I’m the author of the personhood-at-conception bill which right now has over 100 co-sponsors ...that would define personhood as moment of conception, so, it would allow us to have a reversal of the effects of Roe v. Wade without a constitutional amendment.

DUNCAN HUNTER QUOTE: “Not only do we have a bad trade deal with China but they’re cheating on the one we do have. China is cheating on trade and they’re using our trade dollars to buy ships, planes and missiles. They’re becoming a super power and stepping into the shoes of the Soviet Union.”

I think this is going to be the secret to his success. He is the tortoise and the other candidates are the hares. Many of the other candidates are getting nation-wide media focus, but a lot of that focus is negative. I have a good feeling that the debate in May is going to be the turning point in the no name recognition, he can't win hurdle, too.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Very good. Hunter is the best all-around candidate. He has the personal and political credibility to back up his words and beliefs.

Who says Duncan Hunter doesn’t have appeal? When I point him out to people and tell them to take a look, they are impressed and like him. Hunter is a very likable, no nonsense, presidential type man. He exudes leadership and people see that when they finally get a chance to see and hear him. He is being severely underestimated in his abilities and chances for a general election. I see him as the strongest possible candidate and he has military credibility to help sell the war.
