I have seen some blog posts on conservative sights supporting "Operation America Rising" and was ready to jump on board. I visited the site and was unable to get any real information on the person or persons backing it.
After contacting a couple of friends we came up with scanty information.
There is something about this I don't like. Matt Buff is not the guy's real name according to his website. How can he propose to head up such a huge project and do it anonymously?
As of last night his myspace link has some serious porn on it and is a jumble of stuff but the guy is supposed to be a web designer.

The realamericantruth.com resolves to IP addr. 208.109.14.107 which is owned by GoDaddy software. All this means is that the site owner bought their domain name from GoDaddy.
It is hosted on a server at IP addr. 88.198.39.133. This server is located somewhere in Germany and is owned by Hetzner Online AG.
The same thing is true for operationamericarising.com. Domain name from GoDaddy, hosted on the same server in Germany.
youtubepolitics.org, the lefty site referred to by Operation America Rising's Richmond page is slightly different, the domain name is owned by NTT America, Inc. But once again, the server is the same one in Germany, 88.198.39.133.
I hate to say I smell a rat and hope I am wrong, but...
If anyone can add background information to this please do so.

I would still like to know why the ads are being placed on IMC which is an hate-America outlet if I’ve ever seen one, why there is no background info easily available on the organizers, the german connection and why the porn on the myspace account.
I have a lot of respect for concretebob’s judgement. I just want to be sure before people start keying in their credit card numbers to buy merchandise or make donations.
