I have seen some blog posts on conservative sights supporting "Operation America Rising" and was ready to jump on board. I visited the site and was unable to get any real information on the person or persons backing it.
After contacting a couple of friends we came up with scanty information.
There is something about this I don't like. Matt Buff is not the guy's real name according to his website. How can he propose to head up such a huge project and do it anonymously?
As of last night his myspace link has some serious porn on it and is a jumble of stuff but the guy is supposed to be a web designer.

He has posted all over IMC (home to the rad left).
which led to this: youtubepolitics.org
The realamericantruth.com resolves to IP addr. 208.109.14.107 which is owned by GoDaddy software. All this means is that the site owner bought their domain name from GoDaddy.
It is hosted on a server at IP addr. 88.198.39.133. This server is located somewhere in Germany and is owned by Hetzner Online AG.
The same thing is true for operationamericarising.com. Domain name from GoDaddy, hosted on the same server in Germany.
youtubepolitics.org, the lefty site referred to by Operation America Rising's Richmond page is slightly different, the domain name is owned by NTT America, Inc. But once again, the server is the same one in Germany, 88.198.39.133.
I hate to say I smell a rat and hope I am wrong, but...
If anyone can add background information to this please do so.
Please ping folks who may be able to research this.
This could be a huge hoax and I am concerned as bloggers have started promoting it.
I checked out the website. It does look a little hinky. But I’m not sure who is behind it.

I also found it interesting that the credit for this web site http://powertechelectricmotors.com/contactus.html states “Buffman 316 Web Design”. Power Tech Electric (in Kansas) is listed as a sponsor, and on Power Tech’s site it says in the news section, “ 3/ 11 / 2007 God Bless America Power Tech Motors supports our Troops all around the world.”
So whaddya want to bet it’s someone in the general Topeka/Olathe area that also knows or works for Power Tech?
It seems like the Ads came out of nowhere. I don’t think it’s a scam, too smart for liberals to concoct.
