You're right- it says "Bush crash"

LOL!

Let's start a petition to rename the San Andreas Fault as "Bush's Fault"

"At it again" implies that there are pauses.

Chill.

It's a typo, one I could easily see myself making. Fumble fingers here could easily combine the words "bus" and "crash" and insert an errant "h" where it doesn't belong.

We've got serious stuff to deal with; let's leave the petty to DU.

ABC News political director Mark Halperin Memo Dated Friday October 8, 2004

It goes without saying that the stakes are getting very high for the country and the campaigns - and our responsibilities become quite grave
I do not want to set off (sp?) and endless colloquy that none of us have time for today - nor do I want to stifle one. Please respond if you feel you can advance the discussion.

The New York Times (Nagourney/Stevenson) and Howard Fineman on the web both make the same point today: the current Bush attacks on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way that goes beyond what Kerry has done.

Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win.

We have a responsibility to hold both sides accountable to the public interest, but that doesn't mean we reflexively and artificially hold both sides "equally" accountable when the facts don't warrant that.

I'm sure many of you have this week felt the stepped up Bush efforts to complain about our coverage. This is all part of their efforts to get away with as much as possible with the stepped up, renewed efforts to win the election by destroying Senator Kerry at least partly through distortions.

It's up to Kerry to defend himself, of course. But as one of the few news organizations with the skill and strength to help voters evaluate what the candidates are saying to serve the public interest. Now is the time for all of us to step up and do that right.

Not sure what your point is.

Protesters did, indeed, portray Bush as Hitler by drawing the ugly little mustache on posters of him. That's just fact. It's sad to see that ignorant people in other parts of the world think that way, but it happened, and I don't mind knowing what's happening, even those things I disagree with. Perhaps you just don't want to know about it, which is fine.

If you have a low tolerance for ugly truth, avoid it.

I refuse to let it affect my blood pressure or my good manners, and I'm not going to overreact to bad behavior.

Neither am I going to get in a dither over a typo. I mean, suppose it was an intentional typo, someone making a petty dig at the President. Remember how adults handle juvenile behavior?

I-G-N-O-R-E.

Man, if you're going to come here and b---- about spelling, you better make damned sure your post is on the up and up. I count 4 grammar errors and 2 spelling errors in your post. Still want to complain about ABC News' typo?

I was agreeing with you, Jedidah. With the juxtaposition of those two news items, my point was that President Bush's trip to South America was more worthy of a post than a typo.

:-)

Lately, I'm getting used to being flamed for suggesting that we stick to what's important and that we represent the conservative cause with dignity, not knee-jerk tantrums. Sorry that I misinterpreted your comment.

Frankly, I'm looking for level-headed allies. We can't win this next all-important election by being thin-skinned and throwing insults -- in other words, by acting like the opposition.

We need articulate common-sense conservatives to push our cause calmly and with class, and we need for the hotheads to work backstage so they don't cost us votes.
