I had no dog in that fight, vis-a-vis Romney and Rudy.
I was just asking for fairness from those who do, or believe they do.

Listen the day I retract something on Romney is the day everyone retracts what nasty stuff they say about Rudy. Which has been all over this thread anyway.

Most opinions posted here on FR are -- well, "unsubstantiated" . . . so what's your point?
Keep in mind that Rudy Giuliani is one of the most radical left-wing public officials on the national scene today -- so even if his son Andrew were just a random young adult picked out of 300 million Americans the odds are very much in favor of him being more conservative than Rudy.
I am just posting what the blogger wrote. This is what he wrote and I posted it. Believe me Romney is no angel and neither is his wife. You will see.

Those are all valid points, but keep a couple of things in mind here. Rudy Giuliani's marital/family issues differ from those other examples in two key respects: 1) this is the internet age, in which news/information gets passed around faster than ever before; and 2) his marital/family problems were played out in a very public fashion in New York City -- and therefore got far more coverage in the media than they would have gotten if he had been the mayor of any other city.
(Let's assume neither person heads up my department, for the sake of this argument.)
What exactly was Cuomo going to do for New York City that Pataki wasn't going to do?
Of the top of my head, I can't name one. But I'm certain they do exist, just as pro-choice republicans do. Were I motivated to actually do so, I'd go find some for you, but I'm not so I won't.
Your intimation was that some democrats are anti-partial birth, which is in direct opposition to the majority belief of their party, and that this makes them more acceptable to you as people and candidates, because they have the guts to agree with you and stand up to their party organization. Yet, if a republican does the same thing, i.e. stands up in opposition to his party on an issue, he's automatically suspect. Particularly if his stand is in opposition to your own.
Listen to yourself, Tommy, and tell me if you aren't engaging in hypocrisy?
Atacking Mrs. Romney? That is truly a new low.
You know the moment a Rudy person says something or attacks another candidate we have to apologize like we committed a crime. Whether Wrong or right. But the fact that anyone can attack Rudy and run away with it is amazing. We have to be careful of what we say - what we post what we do because god forbid we should step on anyone's toes. Only Rudy's toes can bet stepped on - only Rudy can be bashed and trashed till kingdom come because in their eyes he's the devil. He's evil incarnate yada yada yada.
