It's a 30-minute show, and the Fox News Channel has bought two of them, and essentially these are pilots. These are programs designed to see if they work, after which if they do then the big-time budget flows and these shows get produced for real. So they've got two test runs coming up. The first one is Sunday night at ten o'clock after Sean Hannity's new one-hour show, and in these episodes, I open each show in a skit as the president of the United States, and Ann Coulter is the vice president of the United States, in each of these skits. Now, we went out and did three of these. Only two of the programs have actually been produced yet, and as I say, the first one airs on Sunday night at ten o'clock. Now, the fireside chat. I did a version of a fireside chat skit that would have opened the third show, had it run. Actually no. I take it back. The fireside chat skit does run in episode two. They're going to put the opening with me and Ann Coulter on YouTube this afternoon, is what I'm told, for people to get a look at. I'm not that versed in YouTube. I don't know how to find things there. If you just look at "The 1/2 Hour News Hour," sometime this afternoon it's going up and you can get a heads up. That's in episode one.

:)I was talking to Rush.I do TV and if the producers are reading they will understand. He needs makeup on the top of his head and powder. We use to watch him years ago on Fox and it would be nice to see him back.He will have to build a new audience but some of the radio will tune in.
However, I think the laugh track is funny, because it appears to be part of the satire
I have a just about fail proof survey with a younger audience - if there is a consensus or not, I'll let you know.
Most old people I know don't like Rush or Ann anyway
This is FNC's foray into "The John Stewart Show" and "The Colbert Report" types of stuff. A very good idea considering the decent ratings those two shows gets.
I think this thread is a pretty good example of how interested people are going to be.
I don't watch either of those programs, so I wouldn't tune in to watch a program that was trying to emulate a similar format.
I don't get Rush anymore, either. He's so bored now that he's willing to pimp himself out doing silly stuff.
Then why comment at all if you don't this kind of tv?
It's about he expanded the EIB network.
This website is the one that's gotten bored.
I didn't vote for Bill Clinton, but I never let that stop me from commenting.
Hope this helps.
I've believed for several years that Rush behaves like someone who is only going through the motions. He has lost his direction, and sincerity, and it shows.
Getting suckered in to things like this, only proves it.
This was a great!!!! first show. I have been watching/listening to the Liberals insult Christians, Conservatives, Republicans, Whites, heterosexual families, (you add to this list) for 30 years or more. Saturday Night Live is the prime group of haters. Finally someone is "fighting" back..God Bless them!
"clever"
Liked the Ann Coulter humor
"Rush could be president"
No problems with the laugh track - will continue to survey no negatives yet
The tee shirt routine got a great response
I thought it was great. I wish them great success.
Did you not see the live audience sitting there? Their laughter may have been embellished but that is because so many morons (i.e., libs) need to be told when something is a joke. The laugh track is part of what made it funny.
Is CNN to be taken seriously 24 hours a day? Who says FNC has to be serious all the time? Ever watch Fox & Friends? Besides which, what other cable station would show the 1/2 Hour News Hour? The Comedy Channel? I do not believe ANY other cable channel would have the BALLS to air the show.
No you're not the only one. I thought it was hilarious. Gutsy and dare I say "smart." I loved it. The laugh track is part of the joke; part of what makes it work. I hope it is picked up and is as popular as Joel Surnow's other show.
