The American use of the label "liberal" confuses things. Classic liberalism has a lot of common ground with libertarianism. What Americans now call "liberal", most of the rest of the world would call "socialist".

I love this line "New Anger is the narcissistic self in high dudgeon." I had to repost it. I know that many of us need to stop and realize this at times.
I would like to throw in this however, We see many things in this country as grave problems that non-freepers (and many republicans) do not. We have to get out of this static warfare (WWI or trench warfare) and do some real open field running if we are to save this country from choking itself to death.
