Joy Behar, one of the regulars on The Viewa television show in which clueless women offer ill-informed opinions on a variety of topicsaccused Republican operatives of causing a Democratic senator's brain disorder that has left him in critical condition. "Howard Dean was right, these Republicans ARE evil, Behar said. I know what this, that party is capable of. To give someone a stroke just so the Republicans can retake control of the senate is monstrous.
Doctors said that Senator Tim Johnson (D-S.D.) who suffered an apparent stroke during an interview, has a congenital condition known as AVM, or arteriovenous malformation, that causes arteries and veins to grow abnormally large, become tangled and sometimes burst.
Apprised that Senator Johnsons condition was congenital in origin, Behar became even more alarmed. You mean those bastards messed with his genitals, too? Behar exclaimed. Its bad enough to screw with his mind, but this is even worse. How low can they go?

Um, she's nuts. LOL
Does this need a response? Even if Republicans did even contemplate, much less carry out such a wacko plan, they sure picked a conservative Democrat as their victim.
I think I caused his brain disesase
It's hard to top an opening line like that. Good job.
Ha! good one...and ya know I can just hear that Bette Midler look-a-like saying that!
Actually she's correct. I've ben trying to induce appolplexy into senator Kennedy for years. So far, no success.
We'll have to get together on that. I'm thinking a car wreck would be believable. 8<)
She IS nuts, but is this or is it not yet another case of slander? When do one of these crazy people cross the line making it slanderous, if this is not it.
OOPS, well it does sound like something one would say, in my defense LOL In fact at DU they have said it!!
I'm looking forward to Ms. Behar explaining how a genital stroke affects the victim. Wait a minute...

ABC's Joy Behar Wonders If Sen. Johnson's Illness Is a Republican Conspiracy
Posted by Noel Sheppard on December 14, 2006 - 14:50.
Well, it certainly didn't take long for a member of the media to suggest that there's some kind of conspiracy involved with Sen. Tim Johnson's (D-SD) medical condition. On Thursday's "The View," co-host Joy Behar questioned, "Is there such a thing as a man made stroke? In other words, did someone do this to him?"
Don't believe it? Well, those that can tolerate it can watch this disgraceful example of indecency here. Hat tip to Hot Air. A transcript is here.
Sadly, this wasn't the only disgrace, for when conservative co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck asked why liberals are always seeing a conspiracy in everything, Behar unashamedly responded: "I know what this, that Party is capable of."
This demonstrated the unbelievable lack of regard for a fellow human being shown by members of the media as already addressed by NewsBusters here, as well as a despicable and conscienceless opinion of the GOP.
Is there any wonder why Americans have such a low opinion of their political leaders when folks like this speak so ill of them?

ABCs Rosie ODonnell and Joy Behar Diss Condoleezza Rice
Posted by Noel Sheppard on December 15, 2006 - 11:04.
Well, it certainly was a banner day for the girls of ABCs "The View." First, they wondered if Sen. Tim Johnsons sudden illness might have been part of a Republican conspiracy. Then, they showed tremendous disrespect for the current Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (video available here courtesy of our friend at Ms Underestimated).

Joy Behar Calls 'Rumsfeld Like Hitler' Comment a 'Faux Pas'

Behar and "The View" are no strangers to off-the-cuff controversy.
Last Thursday, in a discussion about Democratic Sen. Tim Johnsons emergency brain surgery, Behar offered a bizarre conspiracy theory.
"Is there such a thing as a man-made stroke?" she asked. "In other words, did someone do this to him?"
...Behar answered: "I know what this, that party is capable of."

Behar again raised eyebrows when she publicly opined that Democratic Senator Tim Johnson's recent health problems were the result of a Republican Party conspiracy to retake control of the Senate. When outwardly conservative co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck asked why "liberals always see a conspiracy in everything", Behar responded "I know what this, that Party [the Republican] is capable of."
