What is it with "American" retailers and t-shirts? First, we documented Wal-Mart's Nazi Death's Head Battalion skull t-shirts (which Wal-Mart is still selling, over a month later).
Now, SEARS is selling "AZTLAN PRIDE" t-shirts. Reader Mary sent us the tip and writes this:
I was shopping for my young cousins on Sears.com. They are wonderful young men who always want T-shirts for Christmas. So I was looking online this afternoon and look what I found.
Apparently Sears supports the reconquista movement. I called and cancelled our Sears charge account that we have had for 15 years.
Apparently, someone needs to remind Sears chief investor and honcho, Edward S. Lampert, that there is no Aztlan . . . for now, and that this is still the United States of America.

Aztlan - the nation that never was...
Kind of like "Palestine."
Maybe they got confused and they're supposed to be resurrecting Atlantis.
Thanks, adding it to my ever growing list.
How the hell did Kansas and Idaho get added in there?

Just selling the rope that will be used to hang them.
;-)
The gub'mint won't care until DC and NYC are in there.
They definitely can't have Colorado because we're armed and we'll fight
"How the hell did Kansas and Idaho get added in there?"
The Reconquistas keep adding more territory hoping that the "stupid" Americans won't notice, or do anything.
Maine is even having problems with illegals. That should tell you something.
That is just plain stupid.
The people of Mexican ancestry that I know, have never even heard of Aztlan.
"Aztlan isn't just about the Chicano movement of the 1960's. It's been a mythical place of fiction for hundreds of years. It wasn't until the 1960s that some people started using the term to describe a new homeland for Mexican nationals.
In fact, the mythical land of Aztlan never really had an agreed-upon location."
The idea of the southwestern US being Atzlan was adopted by the Chicano movement at their convention in the '60s when a poet read his piece to only inspire them in their struggle for recognition/rights. He never intended it for the use that it is now. I heard this from him first hand on a great video about the Chicano movement titled "Chicano". It is well worth everyone's time.
Additionally, when Montezuma was asked about the location, he stated that it was a fictional place. Atzlan, by-the-way, refers to an island.
Your government will give it to them and you won't feel a thing.
What the frak? I know for a fact Idaho wasn't on the "Aztlan" map last time I looked. They're expanding already.
