Bungling the Balkans(Again)
Serb Blog ^ | December 6, 2006 | MV Pejakovich

A recent online article from the German magazine, Der Spiegel, titled "Al Qaida's White Muslims in Bosnia" (translated into English from the original German) featured an interview with former Al Qaeda operative in Bosnia, Ali Hamid, who is now in a Bosnian prison. Hamid only said what many of us have been saying for years -- that "young Arab males" aren't all that Homeland Security needs to looking out for. Thanks to the US' bungled Balkan policies, Al Qaeda has now set up a base of operations in the Balkans, recruiting blonde-haired, blue-eyed Bosnian Muslim terrorist sleeper cells to infiltrate Europe and the US. These Bosnians look like every other Slav, because by blood, they are -- their families were converts to Islam during the time of the Ottoman Turks. In fact, they look pretty much like the rest of us Americans, so perhaps the PC approach avoiding racial profiling at US airports, may yet redeem itself if it catches one of these guys prior to the next 9/11!

For years, even for those few in our US State Department who acknowledged that this radical Muslim element in Bosnia and Kosovo existed, still blamed Serbs for it because they say that these "mujahaddin only came to Bosnia (& Kosovo) to save their brother Muslims". "Not so", says Hamid. "Al-Qaeda wasn't interested in helping the Bosnian Muslims, they were interested in creating a base that would allow them to increase their radius of operations - much like the USA with their bases spread across the globe. Some leaders of the Western World noticed this, but did nothing." Yes, Hamid, and these Western leaders are still "doing nothing".......

"but wait, I thought Wesley Clark cleaned up the Balkans and brought "peace" to the region."

No, actually Clark just bombed the hell out of Serbia for 78 straight days and almost started a war with the Russians, only to empower a bunch of Muslim terrorists. Then he came home & paraded around like "a conquering hero". And for what? For bombing the crap out of defenseless little country from 10,000 feet? If that's someone's defitintion of "a hero", then every kid with a video game qualifies!

LOL!!!!

I don't expect the STUPID individuals who are going to be the leaders of the next Congress, especially the truly stupid Nancy Pelosi, to get what's going on in the Balkans. Nor do I expect them to see the great need to put a stop to the long-term plans of the islamists for an American islamic emirate. Lord have mercy!!!!

"Lord have Mercy" is right, but we can always hope that we will survive another round of Democrats, can't we?

You know, HS, I wish that I could say that "the right thing" is going to win re the Balkans, but I don't know. What I do know is that -- like you -- it's a matter of conscience that we do our best to get the truth out to people, and the final result is up to God, not us!

Chase ends in deadly rollover [Albanian illegals in South Texas]

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1740480/posts

"Right now there are a lot of unknowns," Vasquez said of the 12:51 a.m. crash that injured 11 people, including four Hondurans, three Salvadorans, and four Albanians.

The 21-year-old man who died was also from the Balkan country of Albania, but his name was not immediately released. The driver of the 2001 Suburban, which was purchased Nov. 5 from a used car lot in Houston, escaped on foot, Vasquez said.

Thanks Watcher.

Seems that "driving while Albanian" is a health hazzard everywhere in the US:

As for the guys in your article being "illegals", they are just following in the footsteps of their mentor Florin Krasniqi, who stole into the US illegally in the trunk of a cadillac and went on to start the the KLA insurgency that led to the 1999 NATO Bombing of Yugoslavia.

Even most Democrats aren't as stupid as Pelosi.

If you happen to either catch a repeat on PBS, or you subscribe to either Netflix or Blockbuster online, it is more than worth a go to rent a film called "The Brooklyn Connection". Florin Krasniqi is "the star" and the film landed him in the middle of an investigation by the Justice Depatment for arms smuggling.

The film was intended to be sympathetic to the Albanian cause, but the true nature of the arms smuggling and payoffs to US (Democratic) officials was so blatant in the film that they couldn't be ignored. Every American who I know who has seem this film, walked away stunned at how easy it was to buy US foreign policy by waiving a little cash in front of the right faces, and many of them -- including Wesley Clark and Richard Holbrooke -- were all caught on camera, while obviously on the take for the Democrats!

From what I can find this Krasniqi character is still walking around free and a US citizen. Is that right? He came in illegally and is now a citizen after selling arms to Albanians?? This shows EVERYTHING that is wrong in our immigration system.

"From what I can find this Krasniqi character is still walking around free and a US citizen. Is that right?"

Yes, Krasniqi is a citizen now. Re the rest, I am not surprised he is free. See "The Brooklyn Connection" and you will find that Krasniqi has friends in some very high places --he is with Wesley Clark and Richard Holbrooke on camera, saying, "Come here and see your KLA!" to Holbrook. He even says, on film, "What a wonderful place America is -- you give politicians money and they pay you back!"

The film is about an hour, you can rent it from Blockbuster online or Netflix (or maybe try to catch a rerun on PBS). When I saw it, I could not believe -- as an American -- that this guy was not deported or sent to jail!

Jim Belushi was also in the film -- and here's a little inside story.

Jim Belushi is Albanian Orthodox. (Most of the Albanian Orthodox Christians --like the Arab Christians -- came to the US because the Moslem Albanians were persecuting them back in Albania, even pre-communism.) Yet because there aren't a lot of Albanian Orthodox churches on the West Coast, after John died, Jim and his mother attended the Serbian Orthodox Church in LA pretty regularly back in the 1980's and Jim was even married there. Jim & his mom were accepted into the community and attended a parish that also included Karl Malden, Lolita Davidovich, Natalija Nogulich, etc. Both Jim and his mother were also great friends with Father Dennis (the Serbian priest)and his wife & family there for many years. I even recall that Jim's mother wore one of the priest's wife's hats in some film she was in -- they were that close. Then Father Dennis was transferred to another parish and a new priest came and Jim & his mother still atended church there.Yet when this "Kosovo Independence" thing came along, all of a sudden Jim turned on all the Serbs and started leading the pack for Kosovo independence. Jim decided for no reason anyone could fathom that "he hated Serbs" and "felt a kinship with his Albanian Muslim brothers & sisters".

To this day, Serbs in LA look at each other and shake their heads -- they still don't get it. One day he was "one of their own" and the next day he decided they were the enemy. It is still a bizarre mystery to them how he got so brainwashed, seemingly overnight.

Or maybe, he just saw a chance for "a leading role" in a big drama & took it. Either way, the sense of betrayal still runs deep in that church community.

Thanks for the Jim Belushi update. Last thing I knew, he and his mom were still very pro-Serb. I'm a little surprised at his "conversion". I've met a few Albanian-Orthodox in Belgrade and they were most certainly pro-Serb.

Are you in contact with Natalija Nogulich? I'm good friends with her sister and brother-in-law, and I even was her assistant on the documentary "Truth is the Victim in Bosnia", but I have lost touch with her and don't know where to find her.
