Good shootin'.
Can someone please fax this photo to the PETAphiles?
:-)
with a 22 hornet? *really* good shot.
God bless the 2nd ammendment!
Mmmmmmm....venison.
And a really bad gun to use for hunting big game. Nice that the girl brought the deer down, and lucky for the deer, too: she could just as easily have left the poor thing wandering around bleeding and wounded.
Probably better to hold off on the next hunting trip 'til she's big enough to manage a proper-sized deer rifle.
Sez you! :-)
That's a horrible choice of gun for deer hunting. I mean, good for her and all that, but I think it's kinda irresponsible to even attempt it.
But she did it. Cant argue with success.
Maybe its jealousy talking. Girls make for better shooters than boys. Discuss.
Liberals having heart attacks and fainting spells nationwide right now.
I'm not sure how I feel about that. I never hunted with a girl, and I DID miss a trophy buck last December. Flat out missed.
I have some redemption in getting a gold medal class buck a couple of weeks ago. Woulda girl made the same shot?
I doubt it. I burped and farted before pulling the trigger to make sure I was calm. Girls can't do that on demand.
Opening day,I shot a nice buck which fell over like a statue. Minutes later, my wife, who was spotting for me, notice the buck had raised his head.I shot him again and it sounded like his skull exploded. I'll be damned if that buck didn't get up and run away with no trace of blood in the area. Thank goodness I had shot another buck in the mean time.
What a neat story. I didnt get my first deer until I was 15 and then had a three year dry spell. Unless you count my trophy buck road kill in '82.
LOL!!
Sorry...and sad to say, my youngest daughter can.
I'm still waiting to get my buck scored. It was an exotic, and that's harder to get done.
He ran after I shot him, which made me wonder if I somehow missed. In fairness to me, he wouldn't give me a profile shot, only an occasional less than full frontal.
I've heard great stories about bucks being shot, except the bullet hit the antlers. Knocks them out cold. They look dead for all purposes until they wake up and leave you in their dust.
Hasn't happened to me. I'm more likely to miss them altogether.
I'm sure you're proud of your daughter. That's a rare talent!
I'm not sure it's something she'll want mentioned in her high school yearbook later on, but it will come in handy on hunting trips.
Good Girl!
