It is a little out of my way but every time I see an attack on Wal-Mart a make a point of going there to shop. Back in November, 2002, The Culture and Family Institute issued a notice about potential problems Wal-Mart would face for standing up to the homosexual crowd. Indeed, radical homosexual activists led by the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) targeted the retail giant for a national protest, partly because it will not give special protections to "transgender" (gender-confused) employees.
From the notice:
Pride At Work, a creation of the AFL-CIO, and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, are joining in protest of local Wal-Mart stores on November 21. The organizations want to pressure the nation's largest retailer to enact homosexual domestic partner benefits and include sexual orientation in its nondiscrimination policy. (The Task Force is a leftist "gay" group that is allied with sadomasochists and wife-swapping sexual "swingers.")

That was 4 years ago. Apparently, Wal-Mart and the GLBT crowd have resolved the problem.

Wal-Mart is the latest company that has heard our message about completing the circle of corporate diversity. No longer is just marketing to the LGBT segment enough. No longer is having a corporate non discrimination policy that includes sexual orientation enough. If a company is as truly committed to being a good corporate citizen in the LGBT space as they are with other diverse communities, then they need to buy back and invest in LGBT community-owned businesses like they do with other diverse segments. Their supplier base, those from whom they purchase goods and services, must look like the customer and employee base they have or are trying to attract.

Or you could not buy things through the homosexual group's Web site? Precisely. Does it occur to anyone that this is possibly a standard agreement Wal*Mart makes with other websites who sent traffic their way?

I bet you that a substantial percentage of the HR people in Walmart are homosexual You have a point there. The northwest corner of Arkansas is known to be a hotbed of homosexuality.

So basically, 5% of the purchases made from Wal-Mart made via the homosexual's website will go back to that website. So 5% of homosexuals money will go back to thier organization?
What's the problem? Or are you planning on shopping at Wal-Mart FROM the homosexual org's website?
Get over it.

DING DING!! But you've got to realize, that anyone who doesn't fall in lockstep with blind hatred of any and all things homosexual must be boycotted.
Frankly, I'm sick of the homosexual agenda being shoved in my face constantly. And I'm equally disgusted with the anti-homosexual agenda too.

Thanks to this thread, I'll forever look at the AFA with a healthy dose of skepticism. You do that ... AFTER ... you have read post # 44. Then post your comments.
Attn: Scripter - it seems some folks don't want to give up shopping at Wal-Mart, even if it means supporting a Gay Marriage amendment and all the other ancillary aspects associated with it.

This doesn't pass the smell test. I'd like to see this group provide a source for their claims. Here it is, not from this group, from the GLBT community itself ... Click here.

it seems some folks don't want to give up shopping at Wal-Mart, even if it means supporting a Gay Marriage amendment and all the other ancillary aspects associated with it. I think it's overwhelming for some folks to put it all together. The AFA is making a very valid point. As I see it, looking at the AFA with skeptism is to have a myopic view of the issues.
