Let me know if you want on the DUmmie FUnnies PING List.
When I went to bed last night I was actually worried about DUmmies FUnnies. Too tired I guess.
This morning on NPR I heard someone interview Murtha - who made it crystal clear that he is going to run against Nancy Pelosi - crystal. Then I realized that there would be much political amusement in the next two years.
I can see the DUmmies becoming angry with Pelosi in fairly short order. I can imagine the divisions that will appear among the various groups. What I can't figure out is what conspiracy theory will replace Diebold machines :-)
Thanks for the DUmmies FUnnies this am.
P-J, I was gratified to see this edition this morning, because it shows you are as upbeat as I am, about the future.
I frankly suggest any members of freerepublic who are still "down" after ten days, a couple of weeks--it's natural and human to be "down"--to just sit back, relax, enjoy the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, and then after January 3, 2007, watch everything unfold in Congress as if a comedy show on television.
I am not God, but I can pretty much assure everybody that there's a lot of really good entertainment coming our way, as the Democrats, liberals, and DUmmies attempt to stay "united."
I feel good about the future; crummy about these losses, but overall, very good about a future that is going to be determined by Republicans and conservatives in 2008 while the Democrats, liberals, and DUmmies splinter apart these two years between now and then.
Sit back and enjoy the show, folks.
Thanks for a valiant try, PJ, but I just can't laugh this morning...even though my wife says she's going to kick my ass if I don't stop moping. Even when I thought they'd take the House for sure, I never thought it would be this bad.
The wife says this will help get a Republican elected in '08. Boy I hope so, and God, please let it not be John McCain.
Well, at least there's this...if they try impeachment, there will be a backlash from the voters. If they don't, they'll have a civil war and maybe the electorate will catch on to the inherent moonbatness of the Dems. Could be a win either way.

"In a weird way, the Democrat victories in the House and Senate yesterday were a good thing in the long run."
"In the long run, we're all dead." -- John Maynard Keynes (about the only thing he ever said that made sense)
Watching the DUmmies and Democrats squabble is going to make for a fun couple of years.
I commented on a DUFU last week that a Democrat win would still be a win for DUFU.
The Dummies do not understand how things work. Politics for them is the method of gaining power over others and using that power to fulfill their fantasies, fantasies arising from their own impotence and failure.
I think that is why they worship dictators, Castro, Che, Chavez, Little Kim, Stalin. They must be immensely relieved that they don't have to "take to the streets" in all this rain, but can scream "off with their heads" at the computer screen and really believe that the Dems are their personal henchmen.
So funny, PJ. Two great years for Dummie Funnies coming up.
OK Nancy, you've got the tiger by the tail - what do you do now?
I read the election threads on FR last night and I am proud to say no one turned into a DUmmie. Anger and disappointment but nothing off the wall and no one needing drugs. LOL!
Apparently they don't understand that it takes a 2/3 vote in the Senate. Do any of them really believe that, after the way the Dems protected Clinton, the Republicans are going to throw out a Republican president?
Truth is, the Democrats will have to "rule" from the center, and it is only a matter of a few weeks (after the new congress goes into session), that the DUmmies will begin gnashing their teeth, as they realize that on Capitol Hill, its Business as Usual! That they have been USED to gain power, but they won't get their wishes.
Politics is funny, when your side wins, things look really good, but as we have learned, things never turn out as great as you think. Conversely, when you lose, things never turn out as badly as you fear. I dunno about other freepers, but I'll enjoy the DUFU's just as I always have. As whacky as the DUmmies were when they were out of power, I think they'll really lose it now that they THINK they are in power.
A group of boys are stranded on a deserted island. Before long, they divide up into two tribes. One tribe becomes a fierce, hate-filled bunch of maniacs, ready to attack whatever they see. They paint their bodies with warpaint and sharpen pointy sticks for spears. They yell a lot. They're known as "the Barking Moonbats."
The other tribe is led by two boys. One is a soft, pudgy type with glasses. His name is Karl, but the Moonbats derisively name him, "Repiggy." The other boy, the leader, is stronger and better looking. His name is George. The Moonbats absolutely HATE George. They can't STAND the fact that George has any power--instead, THEY should have all power on the island.
One day, through a series of circumstances, the Moonbats gain the advantage over Karl and George. But rather than going first for the softer target, Repiggy, they decide to go straight for the person they hate the most, George. They sense they have George trapped. Their inner bloodlust now boils to a fever pitch. Pounding their sticks on the ground, they begin a rhythmic chant; louder and louder they shout: "Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood! Do him in!"
"Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood! Do him in!"
"KILL THE BEAST! CUT HIS THROAT! SPILL HIS BLOOD! DO HIM IN!"
"KILL THE BEAST!"
"KILL THE BEAST! CUT HIS THROAT! SPILL HIS BLOOD! DO HIM IN!"
"KILL THE BEAST! CUT HIS THROAT! SPILL HIS BLOOD! DO HIM IN!"
"KILL THE BEAST! CUT HIS THROAT! SPILL HIS BLOOD! DO HIM IN!"
LOL. When I first clicked on this edition of the FUnnies, I wondered how long before they would be hollering Pelosi for President! They did it on the 4th post! LOL Move over, Shehag! Your groupies have a new hero!
I'm thinking that the Dem takeover of both the House and Senate is a good thing in the sense that it may be the only way Republicans have a chance for winning the White House in 2008.
