Once Specter was reelected, Specter had no further use for Santorum.
Santorum backed Specter in his squeaker of a primary win over a true conservative (who likely could not have won in the general election). Specter, in turn, was pressured to move Bush's SCOTUS picks onto the Court.
Now Santorum is being cut loose.
Santorum made a hard decision that very likely helped get Alito and Roberts onto the Supreme Court. But in doing so he outraged some conservatives for not backing Toomey. And he has NEVER had the support of pedophilia, pot & porn libertarians (thank goodness).
That's why the colorless and brainless Dimocrat embarrassment known as Casey may become the next junior senator from Pennsylvania.

The fact is, the Republicans in congress have forgotten what got them in the majority (lower taxes, less spending, less government.)Right, Michigan voters spoke loud and clear about their value of lower taxes, less spending and less government when they went blue the last 2 presidential elections.

I really don't think you can call Nowling a troll. He makes valid points.

Another thougthful post. Do you read what anybody writes?
Let's do this...lets replace everything that is written here with membership dates. It will make it easier for you losers with cat pics to show us your collections.
Date check! Oh...I think YOU are a troll...

The only info you can trust is what Rove says about the race. Syncronize your wristwatch with your VCR clock and put a 4x4 square inch of tin foil on the antenna of the nearest blue chevy tahoe blazer to your house and Rove will send you a secret FReepmail with the internals...

Don't believe what you read and EVERY poll that has been released has been oversampled with RATS.

I tried to get tickets to the event he is having tonight in Lancaster and they are all gone. Maybe his base is not as depressed as the press is claiming.

You make some valid points, but I think that there is another possibility. Maybe the poll data are bogus. Perhaps the MSM are hoping that if they keep telling people that the Republicans will lose, the Republican leaning electorate will just give up and stay home on election day. Or perhaps they want to show democRats ahead so that when Republicans win they can yell voter fraud.
I see them stirring the pot with that latter scenario here in my state of Marylan. The local news media keep carrying stories of possible problems with our electronic voting machines. The give their stories titles or subtitles that ask, "Will your vote be counted?"
P.S., thanks for egnoring the troll accusations.

When you suspect a troll, do the following:
1) Check the membership dates.
2) If quite recent, click on the "In Forum" link on the homepage to see their recent posting history.
I've been all set to flame someone into oblivion only to find that they really *were* conservative, but had a been in their bonnet one one particular isolated issue.
Cheers!

The internal polling I'm seeing isn't much better, especially when undecided independents are going 2-1 for dems. There is time to turn the tide, but it's going to be nasty and expensive.
I look at the media bias as a handicap Republicans must work into every electoral equation. They are never going to cut us a break and we should expect their worse. My MO is that the media will always blame Republicans for what Democrats get away with.

Yeah. This "freeper" registers here today and is already badmouthing the chances of Republicans. This raises the troll alert antennae.

it's because Pennsylvania is NOT a conservative state.
The same thing is happening in Ohio, although DeWhiner isn't nearly as conservative as Santorum is.
The mushy-moderates seem to be going towards the Dems. Neither state has a conservative majority.

It is much more simple. PA can't get pass voting for Dem mobsters like Ed Rendell. They love their of sin. I know I grew up in PA.
