Dear Rush:
Pardon my French, but youre full of s***! As I listened to your show last week, you chose to criticize and attack conservative Americans like myself who feel the Republican Party does not deserve to win in November. Rush, since when did you become such a shill for the GOP? Choosing the party over the base is a very disappointing move to this long time listener. Im very disappointed in you, Rush Limbaugh, youve lost touch with the reality that is life for the common man in America. I heartily recommend you take pause and reconsider your programming strategy. Do you really want to attack those of us on the front lines versus liberalism? Rush, you yourself have become one of the elite of our society. Perhaps I need to give you some perspective, so you can better understand our anger, or at least mine.
>>>3. When you vote for the lesser of two evils, what you get is invariably evil>>>
Dear Lord, can we say this again, except louder?
--Dhimmicrats.--
Puh-leeze. Save that for the Weekly Standard crowd.
--I am disgusted and frustrated with the rampant spending, appeasement, and PC concessions that I see in the Republican Party--
Then why give them their props? Anyhow, independents are fleeing the GOP in droves. The pubbies have their base nailed down, but without the indies it's tough going. There is an old Texas saying: When you have a dog that insists on killing chickens, the best thing to do is take a chicken it's just killed and tie it to his collar, until the stench of the putrescent bird becomes so horrible even the dog can no longer stand it. Same thing with the electorate; if they want to tie the rotting carcass of Pelosi, Rangel et al. to their necks, let's see how long they can stand it. I survived LBJ, Carter (oh God that was awful), Clinton (just as bad); my family and I will survive the next two years.
--Dear Lord, can we say this again, except louder?--
Next time I'll use all caps! LOL
So if I think the RINOs in the Republican Party are spending too much and not living up to conservative values that I feel are important, I should vote for them anyways so they can continue to do what they are doing?
>>>Whenever we're not totally happy with individual candidates, it is imperative to vote for the party we want to make the decisions!>>>
Are YOU niave? Eventually, the bad individuals will affect what bills get to the floor!
Do you want ANY conservative legislation brought to the floor and passed by the GOP majority.... like the fence on the Mexican border for example?
Do you want the cuts rolled back and eliminated?
This is all rather amusing, actually. Seems the majority of posters on this thread aren't really pleased with the GOP's direction; they've been let down by the GOP in the past X years, etc., and what do they determine is the solution to the problem? Why, continue voting GOP!Ladies and gents, politicians want one thing out of you, and one thing only: your vote. Once they get it, they don't give a rat's ass about you . . . until it's time to beg for your vote again. So once you reward these people with your vote, they're going to go back to Washington and do whatever it is they're going to do anyways, no matter what you say. They got your vote---that's all they need. That's their "mandate." Everything else they can play off with lip service.
And people around here scratch their heads and wonder why blacks and women always seem to vote Democrat, no matter what.
>>>My apologies for the he/she mix-up!>>>
No problem, happens all the time and I should have taken a more feminine sounding nickname, but came up with Sandbar after sitting in my living room watching a Discovery channel show about the ocean and they mentioned sandbars, LOL. Shows how a brain blank can wreak havoc!
You're hopelessly stuck on stupid.
>>>There's a great cut and run response to the challenge you refuse to meet!>>>
What challenge have I refused to meet? To vote for people who are NOT voting my values just because they have an "R" beside their name? That "R" is useless if they vote with the 'enemy' consistently.
>>>We want the GOP to stop being such pansies and start hitting the RATS where it hurts and stop worrying about how the media is going to portray them. >>>
Because the media is NEVER GOING TO PORTRAY THEM IN A GOOD LIGHT NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, so why go and tick off your voting base trying to please them? I don't get it.
Wow! PsyOps really work on some folks!
The fact is, Jon, you get to vote any dang way that you please. It's a free country. Knock yourself out. Just don't come to me looking for support. There's a lot more at stake. Sometimes, grand notions wrt what it means to be a "real" Republican shrink to insignificance. This is one of those times. Your apparent solution, at this time, carries the risk of screwing this entire country up for a generation.
For me, it all goes back to the War. We've got 20 year old kids over there. They've got a tough job and they aren't running away. In fact, the way I see it, the ONLY way that they get beat at all is if we, at home, run away.
You can run and you can justify it any way you that please in your own mind. That's fine with me. [shrug] ... But, if you think I'm gonna lead or, heck, even join an effort that, in effect, pulls the rug out form under those kids from my nice, safe, cozy couch in heavily defended, free, Oklahoma, .. well, then YOU'RE NUTS! I'll run when they run, .... not before.
You and the rest of the "Party Reformers" need to pick a more convienient time to sell your wares. I'm busy.
It's as simple as that.
Pay attention! The challenge is to run for office yourself.
Neither do I, hence my point.
I simply don't see the point in not voting, thus allow DemocRATS to win, in some effort to teach the GOP a lesson. Just too much at stake, IMHO.
>>>When you have a dog that insists on killing chickens, the best thing to do is take a chicken it's just killed and tie it to his collar, until the stench of the putrescent bird becomes so horrible even the dog can no longer stand it.>>>
Hey, thanks for that. I have a dog that continues to kill the neighbors chickens and I didn't know what to do about it.
LOL!!!
I don't even agree with you on this issue, I am in favor of Bush's approach, yet I'm voting straight ticket repub, and you must admit that Bush signed off on all the border protection legislation that made it, or is making it to his desk, even though he too disagrees with the idea that border protection alone is enough.
The immigration issue will be be a long process to repair and if you believe the Dem's will do it better, then go ahead and allow them to try....LOL! (you know they will defund the fence)
Don't you see how stupid your actions are! Don't you see?
If you are this dumb, then you should not vote. A country that is managed by knee jerk emotion and single issue stupidity, is destined to fail miserably. You should not be in a political party, and you should shut up, as you have no right to a opinion.
A political party that defines it's self by one or two of the hundreds of issues is also destined to remain feckless.
Pardon my Texan, but all yall have waited far too long to band together and show your strength in the GOP. At this late date your only tactic is a temper tantrum.
If you really want to show America how important, influential and righteous yall are, then band together a couple of years before the primaries and prepare a suitable candidate to run as a conservative Republican with your full support. Perhaps even yourselves. This is America. Your rights are not limited to voting for stinky candidates, or writing petulant complaints. You have the right to be the candidate.
