Why didn't the Democrats do something in 2004?
To: areafiftyone
The polls were telling them they didn't need to in '04.

They were hard up for dates too, and thought Foley would do in a pinch.

Aravosis specifically asserted that Foley is gay on his Web site How could Foley be "gay on a website"? Either he is gay, or not.

What pisses me off is the Democrats are screaming for Hasert's head in the meantime they knew about Foley as early as 2004!

Hence, I adopted my tag line and have vowed to post it permanently!

And I'm not saying the Republicans are innocent in this - they ignored it and are now reaping what they sowed, but the Democrats are JUST AS GUILTY!

If Republicans had punished him in 2004 or 2005, they would have been accused of "gay bashing."
That being said, we should have taken our lumps and gotten rid of him then.
To: Mr. Brightside
I would rather they be accused of gay bashing then enabling a pedophile!

Why didn't the Democrats do something in 2004? They did. Mike Rogers outed Ed Schrock from VA weeks before the 2004 election and Schrock bowed out. On his blog, Rogers brags about how he released the information purposely to affect the election.
I believe we are seeing that again. Unfortunately, it appears to be at the expense of innocent kids.

What difference does it make if the Dims knew? They didnt make Foley do it. They are not in charge of anything. They didnt have responsibility other than moral one and who would expect much from a Dim on that. Hastert and the leadership should have done a better job of watching the henhouse and then responding to this crisis. Having LaHood suggest that maybe they needed to abolish the Page Program because the members were too sick to be trusted was exactly the wrong thing to say.

I sent it to DRUDGE but of course he ignores most of the stuff that is sent to him. I doubt he will post it on his website because its from a blog site.

he has posted or deleted items (that needed updating) when I've sent him stuff. It just depends I guess. If reports are true, all of this may be bumped by North Korea, which is threatening to test a nuke. Keep trying. I also sent it to various Fox journos, talk radio people, bloggers etc. It takes a while for everyone to learn what's going on, since it all has happened so fast.
