Why I am not voting Republican this fall [because I'm a retread zotted troll]
SmallGovTimes.com ^ | 09/23/2006 | William Calhoun

Posted on 09/23/2006 9:42:15 PM PDT by Tiger007

A friend of mine recently was surprised when I told him that I am not voting Republican this fall. "You are one of the most conservative people I know," he said.

"Exactly," I said, "and that is precisely why I am not voting Republican." For me, illegal immigration has been the final straw. And the GOP's recent decision to pull funding from Randy Graf's campaign shows the writing on the wall: CONSERVATIVES, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME IN THE GOP. Of course, the GOP will take conservatives' votes and money, but if a real conservative runs for office, he almost certainly will be shunned.

The GOP historically has been quite liberal. And now, those at the helm are steering it towards its liberal roots. While President Bush and Senator McCain are seeing who can run farther to the left of Ted Kennedy on the issue of immigration, our country is under invasion. Already 20 million illegals have invaded our country, and our president (other than lip service) has done nothing about it. In fact, he exudes a long track record of encouraging the illegal invasion of our country.

In the 1950s, when our country was under invasion, President Eisenhower (via "Operation Wetback") responded with troops, and deported over 1 million illegals in less than a year. Yet President Bush says he is unable. Rather, he is unwilling. If Bush had engaged in this pandering to illegals in the 1950s, he would have been impeached and tried for treason.

In fact, the treason lobby seems to have overtaken the GOP. By 1950s standards, President Bush, Vice-President Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, and Senators McCain, Specter, Brownback, DeWine, and Graham are all guilty of treason. Behind the scenes, they have supported the unconstitutional NAFTA Superhighway, and at every turn have undermined American sovereignty. They have betrayed the Constitution and hard-working Americans so that they can make a fast buck from big business and attempt (unsuccessfully) to court illegal aliens for future political support.

And the GOP rewards such treason. Although Senator DeWine has been ranked by Human Events as one of the ten worst border-security politicians in the country, the GOP still funds him. And in the process, they ceased to fund Randy Graf, a true patriot who actually wants to defend America from this invasion. They take money from the conservative and give it to the liberal. This is the modus operandi of the GOP.

If I am ever able to vote for a true conservative in the GOP (e.g. John Duncan, Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, or Pat Buchanan) then I shall. Otherwise, I am voting Constitution Party (the real conservative party) or not voting at all.

"No, the Constitution Party will never win, period. "

I'm sure the Whigs thought the same.

Do you really think there would be support for an Amendment just for him? That enough states would want him President?

Pretty unlikely.

There's been nothing for well over a year on the subject.

This isn't just about Arnold, although he would be a perfect 'test case' for the globalists, what with his media popularity and Kennedy connections...If there were such an Amendment, La Raza would try to field candidates in every Presidential primary. So would Beijing and Iran and...

Silence for a year means those who were speaking about this in public aren't at the moment speaking about this in public. Communism works on the Hundred-Year Plan.

"Communism works on the Hundred-Year Plan."

Anyone who doesn't understand that should read David Horowitz.

My apologies. I thought from the tone of your post that you favored Arnold for President.

The Republican party was founded in 1854. Within two years, it was a major party. Within four years, if I'm not mistaken, it nearly won control of the House. Within six years, it elected a president. I don't know exactly when the "Constitution Party," under that name, was founded. But such a party has essentially existed since 1968. The "Constitution" people are, politically, the direct descendants of the American Independent party under George Wallace. 1968 was its high-water mark, when Wallace -- already a nationally-known politician -- got about 13 percent of the vote. It's been a political asterisk ever since. Get back to me when you guys have a multi-billionaire, in the Perot or Soros league, who will put a chunk of his fortune beyind you. Ain't gonna happen, I bet.

That was before the media machine known as the modern "two party system" came into existence. Just what Washington warned us about. The Party uber alles and damn the issues.

"Get back to me when you guys have a multi-billionaire, in the Perot or Soros league, who will put a chunk of his fortune beyind you. Ain't gonna happen, I bet."

"You guys"? Oh, you mean conservatives. It's all about money and power with the national party, that much is clear. Why should I spend mine on them? If this schism between conservative and liberal within the party continues, something else will take its place. I'm tired of being forced to vote for a liberal to avoid a liberal. I'll vote for Republicans who have earned my vote. No others. I will never vote for Rudy for President or any other of his ilk.

So, with individual contributions declining to the RNC, I do wonder which billionaires are funding their warchest. They certainly aren't the party of the "little guy" anymore - and in fact have open contempt for us. After the 2004 election, the Administration even started to call us names.

Nativist. Sexist. Racist. Vigilante.

I'm supposed to support those people? Why? Jeff Sessions for President.

I hope you'll have the decency not to waste everyone's time and energy with gripes about the Democratic Congress, if we get one. You'll just say it's the same damned thing we would have had with a GOP Congress, right?

Have you seen the spending bills this Congress has put forward? I vote on issues, not parties. Fortunately, I have a good CONSERVATIVE Republican senator to vote for and another who usually follows the smart one. If it comes to a Rudy in 2008 - if that's who the national party anoints, I will not vote for him. You cannot motivate the voters through fear in this way. We're tired of it.

If I was one of McCain's constituents.... I mean, in that case, what's the difference?
