[You want a list of AAR sponsors? Just look at blank page.] Think Soros is their sponsor FUNDING SOURCE!

A couple of days ago Malloy was filling in for the Screech Owl (my nickname for Randi Rhodes), and he actually suggested that the John Mark Karr affair was orchestrated by the "Bush Crime Family" in order to take public attention away from Judge Anne Diggs Taylor's decision. Most people have to take fistfuls of drugs to reach that level of insanity.

more via RadioEqualizer blog (http://radioequalizer.blogspot.com):
Hot- headed extremist Mike Malloy says he's been unexpectedly fired by Air America Radio, according to his website and a posting by his producer / wife Kathy at the Democratic Underground. Apparently, he's already done his last show for the network (hat tip to Boston's "RaccoonRadio" Bob)...this news further sheds light on the turmoil that has enveloped the floundering operation...
Though Malloy and wife Kathy weren't being paid much by Air America, very little of its programming schedule outside of Franken, Rhodes and a couple of others now appears to be avoiding the chopping block. (snip) The bigger question, of course, is why the inner turmoil at the network continues unabated. Programming decisions seem to change by the day, with a scorecard needed to keep track of them.
In addition, the Radio Equalizer has heard that at least some of Malloy's stations were caught off guard by his firing, having not received the customary notice of his show's cancellation. At least one affiliate was scrambling Wednesday to make other plans at the last minute.

Air America's listeners are...wealthy, white, middle-aged, and overwhelmingly male. According to a survey conducted earlier this year by the Media Audit, 91 percent of the station's audience is Caucasian, while 83 percent is male. Roughly 70 percent of Air America's listeners are at least 45 years old, and 60 percent have household incomes of greater than $75,000.

I first encountered Malloy while surfing the dial shortly after the 2004 election. He was spinning conspiracies after the Dems finally gave up on the idea of challenging the Ohio vote, and was challenging his listeners to donate to a group that vowed to pay for a re-count of the entire state. It was the most entertaining bit of moonbattery since the Fairness Doctrine-era 30-minute Lyndon LaRouche TV ads.

One thing I've always appreciated about Democratic Underground is that, unlike Free Republic, they don't resort to obscenities and cussing when they get angry.

Ironically, you now sound like a perfect guest for the Jerry Springer TV show... "And today on Jerry Springer, outraged Mike Malloy fans who want to shove Jerry Springer up the asses of Air America!"
That is the funniest thing but leaves a very bad mental picture.

Liberals are just so stupid. If "Bushco" wanted to do damage to them he'd INCREASE the exposure of Error Amerika so the whole world would see how far into the nutter swamp the dems really are.

And the hits just keep coming for Air America!
in Burlington, VT, being moved to a "daytimer" station means they have to shut off at sunset. That means going off air by 4 pm or so each December afternoon.
And in Chattanooga (from local paper):
WDOD Radio Switches From Air America To Music Format
by Judy Frank
posted August 23, 2006
Chattanooga's oldest radio station, WDOD, has ended its 11-month experiment with progressive talk radio.
At 10 a.m. this past Monday, the station switched to a format featuring musical oldies and standards from the late 1950s and the 1960s and 1970s, according to Danny Howard, director of programming and operations for WDEF and WDOD.
The new format, which is locally controlled, is known around the station as Ruby AM 1310.
Who's Ruby?
"It's kind of funny," Mr. Howard said with a laugh. "When we started talking about doing this, it turned out that everybody had an Aunt Ruby or a grandmother named Ruby who would like this kind of programming. And then, of course, Chattanooga has Ruby Falls . . . So we decided to name it after all the Rubys."
One highlight of the new format will be Ruby's Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting, when host Chris Adams will play Southern Gospel music. Adams also will host a similar show on Sundays called Ruby's Fried Chicken Sunday Dinner.
WDOD will continue to simulcast WDEF TV's early morning news show on weekdays, as well as WDEF TV's 6 p.m. newscasts.
The decision to drop Air America talk show programming grew out of the format's failure to attract adequate advertiser support, Mr. Howard said...

Why are the DUmmies surprised? It's not like AA has seen increasing ratings. They have to PAY the stations to carry their propagandist hatred. Sensible thinking Americans can only listen to so much baseless hysteria before they spin the dial. I for one will be sending a thank you card to AA for a wise decision. One down, two to go.
