RE: "Log in and then try it."
Not sure i understand. Log into what?
I'm on my daughter's computer, and google is the homepage. I get a blank page when i get online...until i type in any address, other than www.google.com . When I type www.google.com in the address bar...it just won't go there. Seems odd.

It was a play on the old "are you logged in?" joke. Seriously though, sounds like you have a partial page, possibly header only, cached in your browser. You can try emptying the cache, or alternatively restarting the computer to produce a new session.

"or is it a glitch in my computer?"I was just about to ask if you had a computer. Is it plugged into a power source?

Imagine that. Each of their 6 Billion servers crashed a the same time.
What are the odds?

Neither emptying the cache or restarting worked on this or other computers in our lab. Also, I cannot get cnn news.

I cannot get cnn news. Call it a blessing. :)

Describe the issue you are experiencing in full and I'll see if I can assist. Btw not getting CNN is a plus in my book ;)

Everything's back now. Well, I didn't check CNN. I saw that only because I was trying different links the previous user had on this computer to see which did an didn't work.
