One Case Turned Over To U.S. Attorney

POSTED: 12:29 pm CDT August 12,

2006

MADISON, Wis. -- Two state transportation workers are in trouble Saturday morning for allegedly issuing dozens of fraudulent driver's licenses and state ID cards over several months.

Authorities said the two workers, who were in separate offices, were arrested near the end of the week. One was turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Dane County prosecutors are handling the other case.

The workers are expected to be charged in the coming week.

Gary Guenther, director of the DMV's field services bureau, said an investigation began after DMV officials noticed irregularities in driver's licenses and ID cards.

Investigators said they determined that each suspect had issued about 40 fraudulent cards for which applicants had failed to provide proper identification.

This makes government issued ID worthless, we probablly dont have enough prison cells for all the crooks in
local, state and federal government.

It will be instructive to see what these mutts are charged with. I certainly hope serious time is involved.

No ho-hum, whatsoever...

Nail them to the freaking wall.

In today's day and age, these infractions simply cannot be tolerated.

Here in Virginia, some DMV workers were recently sent to prison for selling licenses.

Former DMV workers get prison for phony licenses

They were given seven and five year terms.

However, in another case involving Virginia DMV workers, ( a husband & wife team ), they only rcv'd 27 and 21 months. Go figure.

I think 20 - 25 years would be a good stretch.

The following sentence from this article makes me suspect that the recipients were non-Muslim illegal aliens from a particular region of our own continent.

Martha Patricia Cervantes was arrested Wednesday and Vicente Alejandro Rea Giron was arrested Friday, Capitol Police said.

More evidence showing that we cannot keep our current border policy if we are to defend the nation against Islam. An entre for a Mexican is an entre for a terrorist.

Bingo Doyle is at it again. Good think the case was referred to the U.S. attorney. AG Goldschlager would have done nothing.

Thanks for the ping. I pinged The Usual Suspects. ;)

Now remember, there's NO problem with illegals of any stripe here in Dane or Milwaukee Counties. We welcome them with open arms and give them many taxpayer-funded social services, not to mention low rate home loans and a whole host of other things that we don't give to the legal, taxpaying citizenry. Just move along, because there's nothing to see here. /sarcasm

Grrrr. That's "about" 80 ID cards.

Sadly, the managers are never held responsible. THEY are the ones who should be responsible for putting controls in place for all valuable and security items. If they don't...and they don't uphold them...then THEY should lose their jobs and go to jail.

In time of war, when the enemy is sneaking into the country and needs this kind of document to carry out his plans, this is very serious.

A lengthy prison term, or the death penalty if the fraudulent license are used by terrorists, is entirely appropriate.

We aren't just talking about making it easier for 19 year old girls to get served white wine spritzers at the local tap room here.
